Blast it. Amazing vocals by Steven Tyler.

What up, Broe? I'm late responding, but where you been hiding, man?

Yeah, that song was a major hit--and Jesse Johnson was def. rockin'. What street was East campus, again? I think I mentioned I went to West Campus in the 7th. We had a lot of freaks, who mostly went on to Berkeley High, of course, as you know. Damn, I missed those days.

As for stations, I used to listen to KDIA and KSOL. I favored KDIA much more because they played Soul. Barry Pope!

Here's another blast from the past: stuttin' and boogalooin':

Grandmaster Flash - Scorpio

A classic Rap:

Club Nouveau - Situation No. 9

Really a shame that Hip-Hop's dead, but here's to the baddest lyricist of all time:

Eric B and Rakim
Keep 'Em Eager To Listen - Eric B. & Rakim

Run For Cover - Eric B. &

Let the Rhythm Hit Em

And, probably my all-time fav.:
You Got Soul – (Breakdancing video)

I remember this jam, E-man. They didn’t play it as much in So Cal, but I do remember it. It’s funny how certain songs can be popular in specific areas or regions, but not in others. Really depends on the stations and/or what music influence might be around you. It's funny, I grew up listening to both soul/hip-hop and heavy metal at the same time. And, at that time, you really didn't mix the two.
