ok so i wasnt sure if i should make a new thread or put this in the thread that had us getting moon and kapono instead...but i figured that i dont make threads often so, bigs, if you wanna burn me for this one go ahead, haha.

InsideHoops.com wrote: They've already changed coaches - when they were 8-9 - so now the Raptors, eight games under .500 as of Friday, might have to start making deals as they continue to underachieve and sink in the East. One rival Eastern Conference GM said that Andrea Bargnani, the No. 1 overall pick in 2006, and Anthony Parker are prime candidates to be moved, as they look to add athleticism on the wings.

after reading this i tried the trade on ESPN's trade machine and got this
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/t ... &te=&cash=

i like this trade a lot better as we get to keep our young guys and we get rid of maggs...plus, instead of getting kapono (who i really dislike) we get parker who is hell of a lot more athletic than kapono and can slash as well as shoot (though his shooting has been streaky as of late). his defense really isnt bad at all either averaging 1.5 steals this year. the trade machine also had the trade working with crawford, but i thought that because of contract length, id rather see maggs go before crawford.

thoughts?

I said it somewhere else, but i still think if we trade Bad Porn(plenty of penetration, but do u really like what your seeing?) to the Raps, we'd have to take Kapono back. Don't think they'd look at it at all other wise

I'd love any trade that can get Regrette or Crapford out of here. If we have to take over Kapono's contract to get rid of any of them, I'd be all for it.

This couple of trades work pretty nicely:

I don't usually play with the trade machine, but couldn't let this chance go to waste.

The Raptors really are doing bad so doing that trade is a real possibility and it'd be great for it to happen ofcourse

bargnani is a taller, Italian version of Al Harrington. unlike Al he still is growing as a player, but right now, I see him as a really streaky outside shooter with little to no toughness... he's a good player don't get me wrong, but we need a player that eats breathes and somehow shiits rebounds.

Bargnani is a scorer, and right now that's not our problem

top 5 priorities:
5. Defense
4. increasing Assist/Team Play
3. preventing turnovers
2. Offensive Rebounding
1. Defensive Rebounding!

Agreed but an even bigger problem is Maggette and Crawford, especially their contracts and that's why this trade is very good

I'm all for a trade reuniting the Italian stars and getting rid of Maggette, and I think it's entirely feasible. Instead of Kapono maybe we could get Kris Humprhries for rebounding.

In Smith's deal the Suns would trade Nash, Leandro Barbosa, and Robin Lopez for Jose Calderon, Andrea Bargnani, Anthony Parker, Jason Kapono, and maybe even Jamario Moon as cap filler.

Kyle Odegard of the East Valley Tribune doesn't believe the rumor has much weight, however.

wowsers, pretty sure this won't happen, but god damn that's a big trade

Sam Smith? That tells me enough. He's always wrote BS articles and rumors, so I wouldn't believe him. At the same time, though, I can see it a possibility for the sole reason because of Colangelo. He was the one that signed Nash and he discovered Barbosa as well.

That would advantage Suns, as they get younger and those young guys from Toronto should only get better
