There's wifi all through the city man. You shouldn't have a problem.

I suggest you go down to Customs House which is public library. Second and third floors have some big ass comfy couches and all your internet facilities for free.

It's in Circular Quay which is pretty well smack bang in the middle of the city. It's a central ferry and bus terminal too, so a good place to start.
