guys, not gays i mean :mrgreen:

, what's your favourite whiskey?
as for me i'm a whiskey man, drink almost exclusively only whiskey with some good black tea besides.
now just this year i found 'lagavulin' so it kinda made my summer, actually i drank once the double matured one and 40 ml cost me like 20 euros!
besides 'lagavulin' i love 'talisker' - both with them smoky taste, well, and caol ila isn't the worst though less smoky.
so yeah, whiskey (single malt) in a glass, tea (black) in a cup and a good smoke.
p.s. as i'm not rich and drink pretty often, i must buy these cheap blended whiskeys for which i have no great love, but still they get me where i belong :mrgreen:

Some names and thay're just off the top of my head right now are Grapa and various scotchs. There are others but the names are a bit distant to me right now but will say them later once I think about it and come back on here migya make the ring fall on ya

Well seeing as Im being labelled as "gay" lately............I shall redeem myself with talk of mans drink! :mrgreen:

Im a big spirits man, its pretty much all I drink and whiskey and rum are my drinks of choice.

Whiskey has to be Makers Mark and pretty much any single malt Scotch whiskey.............Johnny Walker too, although I do enjoy the occasional Jack on the rocks too.

Rum, I like the spiced rums...............Morgans Spiced (not Captain Morgans) is the best.

well as far as the fine whiskie goes i cant speak on it.....
depending on how much i want to spend
low price .... jack
moderate gentleman.... jack
higher single barrel jack and double barrel... jack

i drink it neat no ice no soda.
if im in a bar... shots with beer backing it up.
if out to diner .... to save the helper time i or a double in a tumbler
and sip it with a beer to back it up.
if im out in the forest , or at a raiders game .. right out of the pipe .
at the warriors games...i sneak in a 16 oz plastice bottle of coke and
pour three quarters of the coke out then fill with jack, this and one beer can last a game for me.

I had the meaning but missed the experience.

The best whiskey story I ever heard was that someone found a bottle of some legendary ancient whiskey in a building that was being torn down. This was the only existing bottle. Shots were sold off at $900 each and people flew into Scotland from all over the world for this opportunity.

I can appreciate almost any drink from the floral notes of gin to the murky smoke of scotch. I like rums of every kind and tequila is fine, too. I can remember when tequila was cheap.

I like cocktails, especially the old-school ones. I had a 1944 Mai Tai, using the exact ingredients of that era. Outstanding.

My most exotic bottle is an almost-gone bottle of absinth, smuggled in from the Czech Republic. It would be cool to have all the specialized hardware to serve it properly.

Yeah I know all scotch is technically whiskey Bigs but some people get really stuck up about it. I mean, if some people want to get really anal they'll say this is an Irish only choice since it is a "Whiskey" thread versus a "Whisky" thread which would be scotch exclusively.

For instance I wasn't sure if people were sticking to straight single distilled whiskeys or if it was opened up to include Bourbons and other branches.
