Really, What happened that game?

Yeah i forgot that JJ went to the Purple Pride. Sorry to open recent healing wounds

49ers got their asses kicked up until the blackout, and then they got back just enough for Kaep to choke it in the end.

Choked? Oh you mean the 3rd greatest comeback in NFL postseason history? The greatest in SB history? But was negated due to this:

I'm not as mad about the non-call as I am that it was....

If there isn't a hold, it's a SB winning TD.

lol, how are you so sure? whose to say he doesn't drop the pass?

and blame your coach for running LaMichael James (who already fumbled) at the goal line instead of Frank Gore.

Blame your kick off coverage for letting Jacoby roast you.

Blame Culliver for getting torched up and down the field all game.

Big bro won again.

Right, there are countless things that the 9ers could have done differently to not put themselves in that situation. Likewise, the Ravens could have done, ya know, anything at all in that 2nd half to stop the 9ers, but they didn't, or more likely, they couldn't. There are two halves to a football game. The Ravens won the first and the 9ers won the second. The 9ers messed up, but at the sametime, they earned their way back into that game.

The reason why I don't complain about those other missed opportunities is because nobody was breaking the rules, but on the most important play of the game, we have Jimmy Smith blatantly holding Crabtree's jersey with both hands - a flag that is thrown every time in the regular season. Was it a foul? Yes - nobody can argue that it wasn't. The only thing people can argue is if it was a good non-call or not given the circumstances and how the game had been officiated up to that point. Why wasn't it called? Because Goodell intentionally enlisted the most benign officiating crew with the motive of reducing the amount of flags. Why did he do that? Because the SB is the biggest game of the year and the majority of the viewers aren't even casual-level fans. These viewers don't really care about the rules nor do they care about who wins the game as long as it doesn't drag out with stoppages of play (that didn't happen, lol - karma) and get in the way of their next commercial. The crew working the game, wasn't even close to being the best - a former criteria for the team selected to officiate the SB.

I'm not claiming some huge conspiracy and maybe he would have dropped the ball, but we'll never know because Jimmy Smith's illegal holding never gave him the opportunity. But now if they had thrown the flag on PI (which it should have been because the ball was in the air), that would have been 1st and goal, on the 1. If that's the case, are you going to tell me that the Ravens are going to stop the best oline, best running QB, one of the league's best rushing and mistake-free offenses from gaining 1 yard in 4 tries?
