I agree Blackfoot, the West is just too stack to make predictions. Especially when this off-season isnt over yet.

free agency is dried up. nothing left for okc or sas to acquire that will significantly imporve their rosters

...and 10 per year for Monta. In the end, he didn't do so bad.

Yeah, I'm happy for him.

I am happy a western conference team did that deal.

The Mavericks allegedly missed out on Iggy by like an hour. Guess they were trying to recreate his defensive presence with Ellis.

I think the Thunder, Spurs, Clippers, and Rockets will all finish ahead of us with us being close to the Grizzlies.

Gonna go with 4th or 5th seed.

Lol

They missed on every single big name FA they were rumored to be interested in. And Cuban was, as usual, full of talk...and in the end, their main prize is Monta.

Anybody been to Dallas message board? They might be organizing a group suicide of some sort. ::lol:

Precisely.

I mean, yeah, if you look at top 2's, we don't really stack up. Curry/Lee versus Duncan/Parker, Howard/Harden, Paul/Griffin, Gasol/ZBo, or Durant/Westbrook looks like 6th place. But the rest if the rosters? C'mon guys. Who would YOU call the deepest roster?

Team 1: Ginobli, Splitter, Leonard, Green,
Team 2: Parsons, Lin, Asik, Delfino
Team 3: Reddick, Jordan, Crawford, Odom
Team 4: Ibaka, Perkins, Sefoloaha, Collins
Team 5: Iguodala, Bogut, Thompson, Barnes

No one above is even close to Iggy and Bogut (not even Ginobli, if you take his decline into account). And beyond those 4, whose got the role players we have? Jermaine O'Neal and Festus Ezeli are both top 10 backup centers, Toney Douglas was a starter in both NY and Houston (until Lin surpassed him both places), and Mo Speights is 6th man worthy and will be played as an 8th man off the bench.

I just think with injuries and slumps taken into account, depth is the great equalizer. We saw both Denver and Brooklyn roll through the regular season with long benches. Combined with our starting 5? I don't think anybody in the West (besides, again, OKC and San Antonio) can hold a candle to this team. Especially with Jackson holding the reigns and preaching sermons.

It's Dub time, baby LETS GET IT.

The Warriors do have the deepest roster. Their rival in that dept may be Brooklyn.

I won't say the team will make the finals, just too hard to predict in the West. I do think San Antonio look great still, but OKC did not replace Martin, which was strange.

I think the team is the most talented of all teams in the nba right now, but it all has to translate on the court.

Going back to the OP, you gotta wonder: The Warriors have 3 premiere wings now (Iggy, Thompson, Barnes) and have been shopping Lee for a while... Does that Kevin Love trade come true now?

C: Andrew Bogut / Jermaine O'Neal / Festus Ezeli
PF: Kevin Love / Marreese Speights
SF: Harrison Barnes / Draymond Green
SG: Andre Iguodala / Kent Bazemore
PG: Steph Curry / Toney Douglas / Nemanja Nedovic

Thompson + Lee for Love, anybody? We're outta draft picks for the foreseeable future and Utah took all our big expirers, so you'd have to convince Minny that Thompson is the next Reggie... no small task after his regression last season. Maybe you involve New Orleans with a 3-team deal; send them Klay so that you can package DLee and Eric Gordon to the Wolves for Love. That looks a lot more appealing, on paper, to Minnesota if they're after star power.
