Strangely, this happened last year... when Bochy took Pagan outta the leadoff spot and hit him 5th for a month and a half.

The season-ending injury to Angel Pagan potentially throws the towel in on the whole season. That dude makes our RBI guys a threat, he puts Scutaro in the best position to succeed, he was clutch when the lineup turned over because you could count on him to drive on a run after the pitcher bunted a guy over... there's just no describing how big of a hole Angel Pagan left when he went down.

Combine that with Matt Cain suddenly serving up homers every outing - not to mention the fact that we have to rebuild the bullpen cause Affeldt and Kontos seem done, Casilla is always hurt, the prospects we NEED aren't being brought up... you just can't get the ball to Romo fast enough - and even the proudest of Giants fans, like me, can call this season what it is...

Even year magic continues!

Hopefully we'll be healthy next season and try to make it 4 in 6 years. Seriously, can you imagine what it would have looked like if Cain, Angle, and Morse would have all been healthy? It was no fluke that when we were healthy, we were the best team in baseball.
