With the nba season just about over, this is the thread to talk about free agents this offseason, what you think of them as players, how much money they should get and what possible teams they might or should go to.

Mods can you unsticky the 2011 Free agent thread and maybe sticky this one.

Pelicans offering 44 million for Tyreke Evans  The Kings would be crazy to match that

I know it's old news now , but it'll be interesting to see how/where Monta lands.

The Kings are offering 56 mil for Iggy over 4 years. While it's a lot of money, I think it's a good move by the Kings if they can pull it off. I'd rather spend an extra 3 million per year for Iguodala than match the Pelicans offer for Evans. I don't mind Tyreke Evans but I wouldn't pay him 11 million a season.

Kings get to lose a lot. They win five extra games with this move and do that at 14 million more a year.

I like Iguodala and think he is better than his numbers show, a real difference for the Nugs, but he isn't worth that money, maybe 10-11 million a year. Think he'll stay in Denver.

As for Dwight, I think he'll stay in Lakers, but he really could go and join young Harden in Houston. Interesting that Dwight wants Houston to get another star to make it three of them and JSmith might be the one. Dalla should have been smart and tried to make a trade for Rondo, seeing as Ainge apparently likes that draft pick PG Larkin. Maybe him and Marion, throw in a futre 1st rounder would do it. Then Dwight likely would see Dallas as a serious spot to go, as with Dirk and Rondo, add Carter and maybe Mayo, that's a good group.

I love the Josh Smith signing in Detroit.

I'm not gonna say championship!!! But they'll definately be in the top 8 talk come March with that weak and pathetic East Conference.

Wizards and Cavs will get in I think. With Detroit being the ninth seed.

JSmith only got 14 million a year. Thought he'd get the max or wait out for it. Either way, he's a PF so Drummond will have to come off the bench again, which may be a good thing. JSmith at SF isn't a good thing. The Pistons still need at least one good backcourt player, preferably a PG to be a very good team.

Not unless they trade Monroe for Rondo.

That would make sense for both teams. Good call.

I'm hoping the Warriors sign a decent C/PF and PG soon before they're all gone.

...Decent C/PF - Speights and O'Neal, decent PG - Douglas. Check, check and check. Well done Bob Myers :D
