Hey BF,

I give it up. Klay's wrecking Kobe on defense tonight.

Say what you want, but Klay did one hell of a job on Kobe in the 1st half. Kobe will get his numbers against anyone in this league. It's just really hard to guard the likes of him and Dwayne Wade when they have the refs in the their back pockets.

It's not like Kobe is stopping Thompson either.

Had you in mind since Klay was Owning Kobe earlier 9/23 tonight

Lakers making a game of it late here. Hopefully we can hold them off. I hope we aren't making a habit of allowing team back in the game late, our starters should be sitting right now

Game notes:

- Tremendous game out of the Warriors' front court. Bogut and Lee combined for another stellar night where the two brought 27 points, 21 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 blocks to the pivot. Kudos to Lee for being the efficient scorer the team needs inside and equal kudos to Bogut, whose interior defense held the Lakers below 40% shooting as a team. While Lee, Bogut, Ezeli, and Landry combined to shoot 58%, the Lakers' front court of Howard, Gasol, Jamison, and Clark all pitched in a united 34.7% shooting on the game. Anyone not giving Bogut the lion's share of credit for transforming this defense is either blind or has an agenda to sell.

- 32 giveth and 32 taketh away. Klay Thompson, whom I've held all sorts of accountable on his poor defensive nights this year, did a tremendous job slowing down Kobe Bryant. Even amidst Kobe getting whistles for being breathed on, Thompson stuffed up Bryant at a rate that made any potential LA comeback impossible. In the last meeting against the Lakers, Thompson's assignment went off in the 4th and the Lakers eventually took home the W in overtime. Last night was a different story: Klay didn't give an inch AT ALL, at ANY point in the game.

- Boy, Ron Artest truly has become an abysmal excuse for a ball player, hasn't he? Dude can't shoot anymore, his finely tuned skills like handling and passing are largely MIA, and the once mighty lock-down defender has degraded into a squealing trash-talker whose point of attack is trying to play 3rd grade mind games with the opponent? Good God. But, HEY, big ups to him for knocking DLee off his game with that early blabbering. It's not like Lee finished the night 9-of-15 with another 20 and 12 game, right?

- Tell me plus-minus isn't flawed: Carl Landry goes 1-for-4 and commits 2 fouls in 15 minutes... +15. Andrew Bogut? Seals up the interior, rejects two attempts, hauls down 9 rebounds, and dishes out 4 dimes in 30 minutes... -7! Lies, damned lies, and statistics!

- How many players can trot out 43 minutes on a swollen ankle and flirt with a triple-double (25-7-10)? Stephen Curry is on some serious Larry Bird sh*t, if I do say so myself.
