I'd like to thank the entire Rocket team for having a Least Valuable Player for the Entire Team award-like game. Thanks!

Seems like Chandler Parsons was upset.

Huge win.

The way the team outplayed them and it being on the road. Has to be a morale boosting win that turns things for the better.

Who was thrash talking to Parsons? Green, Bazemore...? Or was it Ezeli perhaps, after that block he made? Though, I don't see Ezeli as a thrash talker.

Houston will thrive if our starting wings can't get a hand in their face. Kent Bazemore, Draymond Green, Richard Jefferson... SOMEBODY off the bench is gonna need to play 15 specialist minutes on Parsons or Harden because, thus far, Thompson and Curry have surrendered huge nights to opposing wingmen EVERY game.

I don't want to see a zone played ONCE this game. Houston eats that sh*t up. This shouldn't be THAT difficult of an equation: put a specialist on Harden (Bazemore, Jefferson... for God's sake, not Thompson) - he'll still get his numbers but make him work, have Curry go under screens when playing Lin (the dude WILL NOT connect on most of them; he's shooting 33% on the year!), turn Parsons into a driver (CRASH the outside corner... hell, put him on the line - he's a 70% FT shooting wing!), and pay absolutely no attention to the Rockets' bigs. Hell, I'd invite them to beat us with Asik if they think they can. Have Bogut overhelp on EVERY play, give Lee the green light to thump the sh*t outta Asik inside, and put him on the line 12 times tomorrow.

This shouldn't be such a friggin culture shock to this club. THESE GUYS PLAY NELLIEBALL. That means, RUN them off the 3-point line, but leave Bogut and Lee in the key to prevent lay-ups! They don't practice mid-range jumpers! If you make them put it on the floor and take an 18-footer, that's LEAGUES better than letting them sit on their spots and bomb all night.

[-o< Pleeeeease, Steph/Klay. Play some damn defense on the perimeter. If Lin and Harden combine for 45 or more, this game is over. They LIVE on their perimeter scorers. You gotta overhelp on those fools and put the ball in Asik, Robinson, Motiejunas, and Smith's hands!

How do other teams handle Curry and Thompson? They overhelp on the 3-point line cause they KNOW these guys will still try to shoot through triple coverage. Give Houston a taste of that medicine!

Yehhhh none of that happened. Lol.

What do you mean? Alllll of it happened, dude!

The Warriors ran Houston off the 3-point line, they went under screens and let Lin fire away, they made the Rockets' bigs beat them instead of letting their guards get off, putting the ball in Montiejunas and Asik's hands, not allowing Parsons to heat up outside... With the exception of a specialist to guard Harden, everything I said seemed to be the Golden State gameplan.

Not really. I think they both combines for 42 which is pretty close to 45, but we blew em by 30, so theres 1.

We went to the zone in the 3rd.

There weren't any specialist on Harden or Lin. And I don't know why you didn't want Thompson on Harden. Thompson was on Harden throughout the entire series and did a good job on him throughout.

Curry still went over screens, he just recovered a lot better, and the weak side defenders showed on them. Bogut particularly did a hell of a job protecting the paint and helping on screens.

After reading your post again some of what you said did happen, but some specific things you named didn't. Who cares though, it was a pretty win. You do have to give Thompson his due credit. You bash on him for not being able to defend the likes of Kobe and whoever else, but has done a great job on players like Harden and Parker. Overall, for his contract, age, and experience, he's doing very well.

Also big kudos to Klay in the 3rd. They almost recovered from a 24 point deficit in HALF a quarter, but Klay his some pretty big 3 to give us a good cushion going into the 4th.

Touché, I give it up for Klay in this game.

He handled Harden like he was just an everyday player.

And I gotta point out: the Warriors went to zone in the 3rd... And Houston cut it to 5.

And Curry definitely went under the screens on Lin. That's why a third of his shots were 3's.

But you were right about the specialist thing. I was wrong on that.
