It is in the New York post.............but as its not regarding the Knicks, it may very well be true =

Tinsley Dealt To Nuggets

Locked-out Pacers point Jamaal Tinsley was traded to the Nuggets for Chuckie Atkins and Stephen Hunter, The Post has learned.

The deal is contingent on Tinsley passing a physical. Chronically injured over the last four years (only once playing more than 42 games) and embroiled in violent encounters on three separate occasions (none of which he instigated), he spent all summer in Atlanta rehabbing his body and is said to be a great condition.

Denver assumes his $21M, 3-year debt. Atkins is due $3.24M and $3.48M while Hunter is guaranteed $3.86M and $3.69M. Less than half of their total salary remaining is guaranteed.

Why would Denver make the move of giving up Camby for cap room...............to then take on this horrible contract, for this horrible player, and re-use the room they created by letting Camby go for nothing???

Also, could the Nuggets be anymore temperamental with Iverson and Melo and now Tinsley? ImageImage

If this is true, it is somewhat a bad trade. Tinsley's injury history is what makes it bad, otherwise, it would be getting a real good PG and getting Iverson to SG again. They do have Anthony Carter, not bad but nothing else, making this trade even stranger, though not that hard to understand. Giving up Camby and not getting another good big man, a young one the aim, is what has been real strange

Tinsley Dealt To Nuggets?

I've talked to a couple people -- one from the Pacers camp and another from the Nuggets camp -- this morning and both sides say point guard Jamaal Tinsley has not been traded to Denver for point guard Chucky Atkins and center Steven Hunter as reported by the New York Post.
The Pacers have talked to the Nuggets, along with just about every other team in the NBA, about Tinsley, but they've yet to be able to come up with a deal. -- The Indianapolis Star

i honestly cant see AI and Tinsley working well together...if denver does make this trade, AI just might be traded...which would tick off melo...and all hell would break loose in denver.

Wow, talking about bad chemistry. Tinsley AND Iverson as your backcourt? Tinsley's as good as MJ one week of the season and then either injured or below average the rest. This move makes Denver look like they're trying to gasp for air while drowning in a pool.

that's pretty bold. i wouldnt go as far as saying MJ...maybe like a KJ for a week.

Yeah, I didn't mean it in that sense. I was just trying to say he's as good as one of the greats at PG, yet, he only does it for a small amount of time.
