Palin reminded me of a cross between Marge from "Fargo" and the church lady and just a right wing whack job. Yeah, let's vote for someone with ovaries, even though she is to the right of George Bush and Dick Cheney. John McCain showed utter contempt for the American people with this pick, and sadly, some of them may buy it. Her jobs as mayor of a town of 5000 people were to cut ribbons and preside at city council meetings. The MOST qualified to eb a heartbeat away from the presidency. And just how stupid does Mccain think we are? She's the governor of the biggest state: Hey McCain, they count people, Not moose! Yeah, they are so "bigm they only get ONE representative. She is governor of a state smaller than SF, San Jose, San Diego and freaking Oklahoma City. Hell, there are high schools with more students than her little town. Hell, by that measure, let's nominate the administrator of Antarctica, since Antarctica is "bigger" than any other continent. McCain must think we are complete saps...

Cuz im pretty conservative with the exception with most social issues, i think freedom and equality for all people, regardless to race, gender, sexual orientation, etc is incredibly important. (Why should straight white males have to decide this entire country?)

To tell you the truth, I have no idea. I just believe in liberal ideas more than conservative ones. I still agree with some conservative ideas, just not much.

if you are conservative, you prob loved the speech last night... however the GOP doesn't need votes from their base, they need votes from undecided voters.

maybe the conservative media, but that's to be expected. I've been watching CNN and all of the anchors seem to be politely asking the "pundits" questions that any liberal with more than one brain cell would ask.

types of questions:
Where were the social issues?
Why was she bashing Barack SO MUCH?
what's with the shrill comment, Obama/community worker comment(s)?
Is she ready to lead?

Basically they've been asking all the questions I would ask if I was stuck in a room with a bunch of republicans and had to be polite. they didn't go on and on about what a great speaker she is, they were like "WTF was that garbage coming out of her mouth?"

CNN caught some flack for being too far up Obama's ass earlier this year, so I think their trying to tone it down a little. However if you watch Wolf, Solodad, Larry King, or Cooper for five minutes, you can see them holding back from ripping the GOP pundits to pieces.

all the anchors are smart, educated on the issues, and used to the lies in politics. They don't buy what the GOP is feeding them but they can't openly say YOU GUYS ARE WRONG!

Do you guys ever notice that when commentators are talking about people weeping at Obama's speech, they always pan to an ACTUAL clip of somebody crying at his speech and showing a great deal of emotion... Ever notice when CNN commentators are speaking of "there were so many people weeping throughout the crowd" in regards to Palin and McCain's speeches, they NEVER pan to an actual clip of anyone crying? That sh*t just makes me laugh.. We all know ain't no one crying over no boring ass McCain speech lol

well to be fair, i think the exaggerating crying was equally distributed for both conventions. I've seen a good chunk of both conventions, not just of the main speakers, and i've seen equal amount of tears.
