Oklahoma City team's nickname will be ThunderUpdated: September 3, 2008, 5:05 PM EST 7 comments add this RSS blog email print OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - As Oklahoma City's NBA team prepared to reveal its name and logo, the NBA's Web site showed "Thunder" as the name and the color scheme as blue, yellow and orange.
Earlier this week, a handful of NBA team Web sites, including that of the Orlando Magic, offered tickets for games against "the Thunder."
Oklahoma City television station KOCO reported in late July that "Thunder" would be the nickname, but team officials have refused to comment on the report.

thats hella stupid. the warriors should sue. its one thing using our mascot as their name...but ripping our colors too? BS

haha I was about to start a thread on this but you beat me too it.
Here's what I was going to write: Wow. I mean, I know there are only so many colors that would potentially work on an NBA Jersey, but come on. This is just lazy. I mean the "thunder" is bad enough, why did you have to rip off our colors too OKC? you guys suck. Literally and figuratively.

at least the bobcats use grey instead of yellow. and their blue is metallic...

Jesus..............that logo looks like some little leaguers asked a 10 year old to come up with something for his team, what a load of crap. And yeah, screw the name and the colours.

That's a terrible logo. Kinda makes you think what they did during the summer... probably went on holiday and made the logo during this week, just in time for the preseason.
