Who is looking like they will be traded

he's got three good players in this years draft (lee, robinson, and frye)
not too bad in my opinion. in two years ny will be really bad (thomas and brown shifting blame on each other) or really good (thomas and brown trying to take the credit for everything)

Too true, Kendo! Thomas and (especially) Brown are vulterous when it comes to success, but they're both quick to shift blame. Who thinks they'll start playing hot potato with the bad press when the Knicks start losing? I'll bet if Brown doesn't end up arguing with Marbury, he'll go after Isiah.

Look at that team man! They have failures like Anfernee Hardaway, Taylor, Rose, Crawford. Best thing for them is to use the rookies alittle bit more and hope they develop quickly. That team has no idea who are the key players and who should do what. They just got a bunch of players that looked like they could be great individual players and threw them all together - Not a smart thing to do

Yeah, you're right, seems like Isiah made trades to improve the talent level of the team (and he did it, he got more talent than he gave up), but that talent doesn't mesh well. And above all, they don't mesh well with their coach. Larry needs other kind of players to win. That's why he's playing Matt Barnes as a starter (I think Ariza should be the starter, tho).
But Hardaway has some value. He's a max expiring contract. I'm sure he'll be traded, we'll see for whom.

Billy Owens, Ed O'Bannon, Yinka Dare, Jay Williams, Harold Miner, Jon Koncak...
You're forgetting that some players never had good seasons in the NBA and were hyped as future stars. At least Penny Hardaway was decent before his injuries. You can't compare players like LJ, Penny, and (possibly) Amare to guys who never even made it after being advertised as superstars.
To be fair, Jay Williams should be in the injury boat as well. He only had one season to adjust to the NBA game before his accident, which is not enough.
I'd add one more name to that list though: Darko.
I was looking at the 2003 draft and counted 14 starters taken. 14! That is unheard of. On top of that, there are a boatload of great bench players in that draft too (see Pietrus, Z-Cab, T Outlaw, Sweetney). In the end, the only players drafted in the lottery that are not starting/playing valuable minutes are Delonte West and Darko. How dissapointing is that?

I'd blame Jay Williams because he put himself in that position. He violated an NBA rule for players by riding a motorcycle, unlike Larry Johnson who's back simply gave out from playing the game. LJ couldn't help the fact that his skills declined; Williams could have.
Yeah, Jay made a dumb mistake by doing that but it is still an injury. He averaged about 10 ppg and 5 apg as a rookie in only 26 minutes. That is decent. Regardless how foolish it was for him to get into that accident he could still play, which is much more than anything you could say for the Brothers O'Bannon or other busts on that list.
My point was Anfernee was a star and then never was the samw again. To be so great and then fall like that is near inexplicable. He was a great athlete but it was his basketball smarts that made him great. Injury does not take that away! He just has been making the money and hasn't wanted to be great anymore
... Penny lost basically ALL of his athletic ability to a micro-surgery in his leg (which is what Amare's having now). To say that injury doesn't take away his skill isn't true; his speed, quick first step, leaping ability, and foot quickness have all dimished after his injury. Penny's game is still fundamentally sound, but without athletic ability, he's harmless. Imagine a player like Jason Richardson losing his legs. How would that effect his game...?
