when they dunk on someone real bad theyre gonna have a thunder special effect. just like when the jags score a touchdown theres a roar. just a thought.

That kind of stuff always cracks me up..........like in Orlando in the mid 90's, when they used add a "BOOM!" like a gun going off kind of sound when ever someone dunked. Also, the old Big Ben chime (presumably a play on the sound from Big Ben over here?) sound for when Ben Wallace did anything in Detroit. |

the dust bowl is the first term I can think of when when someone mentions Oklahoma.
the Oklahoma city Dusters maybe? no wait... the Oklahoma city Dust Bunnies... intimidating! the Oklahoma city flat-landers maybe? the Oklahoma city rural-ers (has a nice ring to it)? the Oklahoma city sooners 2? the Oklahoma city fighting hicks? that's all I got if they really do take our mascot, we should go back to the Old School jersey of blue and gold "City". the new ones look exactly like the bobcats' jerseys anyway. |

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The NBA has filed for trademark rights to six nicknames for the league's new Oklahoma City franchise: Barons, Bison, Energy, Marshalls, Thunder and Wind.
An attorney for the league made the filing Monday with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Marshal is usually spelled with one l. It's not clear why the league used a variant spelling. The filing is listed on the patent office's Web site. The NBA and the team have refused to discuss possible new names for the team formerly known as the Seattle SuperSonics ahead of an official announcement, which has not yet been scheduled. THATS OUR FUTURE RIGHT THERE

the bison would be pretty cool. or the marshalls....
all those other names sound like WNBA clubs "the victorious warrior wins first, and then goes to war; the defeated warrior goes to war first, and hopes to win."- The Art of War
