Ok so I (JREED) made a new spreadsheet for the Warrior's salary situation. the spreadsheet can be viewed on Google Docs - https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AqQiNT5jJM5idG04bGJ6a1VuRTctb1hjWHBzTll0dmc&hl=en and below. If there are any errors, changes or anything like that then send me a PM or post here and I'll take care of it.

update! as of Jul 8th 2010
I'll make it a wiki style spread sheet, where anyone can come in and update it as they see fit... just don't be a douche about it by putting in false numbers. http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0ArhDzfIf3kRwdGQxY3dSRHlNMW5tRXJ2Ymlqa3hYdnc&hl=en&authkey=CMnG-pEM Last edited by first off on Fri Jul 09, 2010 1:23 am, edited 7 times in total.

so it seems like if we match Azu's deal, we would still have over 2.5 mil under the cap. I think we should match. Would still leave us with Monta and AB's contracts to go and 2 more open roster spots but I think we can do it especially considering we are already accounting for 7.9 for AB.
Doubt he will get a TON more than that in his first year anyway. Monta's deal will be the big one that drives this number up though. _____________________________________________________

does the salary cap hold cound against the soft cap?

or is it just like an imaginary number?

yes, it does count. When you say soft cap, that just really means the cap. The NBA is considered to have a "soft cap" as teams are allowed to go over the cap figure. This is different from a "hard cap" like the NFL where you are not permitted to exceed the cap number.

Is there anything important to know about long term deals?, I'm sure there's something in place that says oh you can't sign a player like LeBron James for a two decades. thanks This is a GREAT resource... http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm
thanks bada |

Dont worry man, I had with it trouble when I first joined. Its simple, just click the "Quote" button on the top right of the post you want to reference to..........and just make sure that you type what you want to say after the text your quoting has ended, and after you see this
Then your fine. |
