Didn't see a topic about this, although I feel like I remember people talking about it a few months ago. Anyway, it's a done deal now.

Too bad for Seattle. I hope they continue the current trend of rights when a teams moves. What I mean is I hope Seattle keeps the rights to the name "The Sonics" and all their history if a team were to ever move back there.
Also that means that Oklahoma would ahve to come up with a new nickname. Surely they can be more creative than the Bobcats. |

are they still considering west coast team or it will another arrangement later on..

The name, logo and colors will remain in Seattle as part of the deal that was struck.

The Oklahoma City Flames
For the Flames name you could have a logo of a flame that is red on the out side, white on in the middle, but not a lot, then they use blue in the core of it. I don't make it sound that godd pros are going to be working on it so they could make it good I like pie

So what division are they in? Maybe we'd move to the Northwest. :-p
I give MC's the runs... drippin'...

That'd be sick. Nah, they'll probably stay in their division for a couple of years until everything gets situated. 2007 - GoldenStWarriors.com "Rookie of the Year"

Why? They would be my last pick to move up there. Geographically, the Kings and the Warriors are closest. 2007 - GoldenStWarriors.com "Rookie of the Year"

I used to love watching the sonics in the 80's with x man, dale ellis and tom chambers and also the early 90's teams with eddie johnson, shawn kemp, mckey, cage, ricky pierce and vincent askew.
