I know there was talks of the pistons making a few moves...
What about:
Al
for
Mcdyess
Dixon
With the pistons needing some fire power, al could slip in and be a 2 option for them.
The warriors receive a good rebounder and decent inside scorer in mcdyess (who cant play 30+ min. anymore which works out well to give Wright 20 min. a game) and dixon as a back-up guard. (not the best option...but felt another player was needed and he is expendable)
2008/2009 Warriors:
PG: Monta/Dixon/Watson
SG:Sjax/Belinelli/Azu
SF:Maggs/Azu/Randolph
PF:Mcdyess/Wright/Turiaf/Randolph
C:Beans/Turiaf
Pistons?

We already have a logjam at PF. We need a backup PG more than anything.

Pistons Want Biedrins For Billups?
Posted: 7/13/2008 3:13:00 AM Source: Oakland Tribune Chris Mullin may not believe his own rhetoric about Monta Ellis. The buzz in Detroit is that the Warriors and Pistons have been talking about a deal involving point guard Chauncey Billups. The Pistons want Andris Biedrins, the Warriors are offering up Al Harrington. Harrington by all means. But Biedrins? No way. |

] uuuuugh id be pissed if Biedrins left . But Billups would be SICK! I give MC's the runs... drippin'...

No way would I want Biedrins for Billups! Not only is Biedrins a better rebounder, but he also has youth on his side. Billups is old... Screw that.
This is my incredibly intelligent signature line. Clever eh?

We'd have no starting center. Bad trade.

u guys would serious keep biedrin over billips straight up... u guys are nuts.
If that one for one trade was offer, mullin would do it in a heartbeat. yes billups is in his thirties, but he will have at least 3-5 good seasons on him, maybe more. Nash is older, and kidd is 2 years older then nash, so it tells you veterin point guards still can play as they get older. Plus their bodies dont break down like the bigger positions Oh and Lighting, no da Biedrin is a better rebounder then billups. he has a 9-10 inch advantage in height |

Who would we play at center? Turiaf? Wright? Because that is how it would work out. Billups wouldnt take us to the playoffs anyways, so we need to keep our young talent... especially a young big man, the only one we have. No way Mullin does it.

i love biedrin, and i think he can potentially be great, but sfsf there's that word we all love POTENTIAL. I think biedrin can do it and be a star, but with bigs its always a risk. how many times do we see people his age max by their early 20's and get kick to the curve in a few years. if we do this trade, we can go trade harrington for a big. Billups is proven has a ring, and a young team we are, we need leadership. Veterans win championships! |
Do you really think that adding Billups will make us a championship team? Frankly, I dont think Billups could take this team to the playoffs, let alone to the finals. 2007 - GoldenStWarriors.com "Rookie of the Year"

hey sf, are you this optimistic about everything? |

Are you going to tell me any different? Do you think the Warriors are a playoff team with Billups? He wont add anything more than Baron did, which was one playoff season in four years. 2007 - GoldenStWarriors.com "Rookie of the Year"
