2-3-2...thats how they set up the finals. so boston will need to defend homecourt well the first two games. "the victorious warrior wins first, and then goes to war; the defeated warrior goes to war first, and hopes to win."- The Art of War

anyone watching the first game? of course....
Well it's the beginning of the 4rth quarter and despite my previous post, I just cannot get myself to root for the Celtics... It's the strangest thing... I hate the Lakers but I find myself wanting them to win.... wtf? oh well ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3pIsA0Q ... re=related

The way I see it, they'll need to win both home games and take one at Los Angeles, and then wrap up the series in either of the last two. Anyways, regarding the game. That was a helluva comeback by Pierce. At first, he's down and out looking like he's done for the series but then here he comes back and knocks down some big shots to end the 3rd. Ray Allen is going to be the X factor. He had a good game tonight and needs to stay consistent or else the game will be close in the end or the Lakers will have it easily. Also, Kobe was forcing his shot in the 3rd and 4th quarters. So that proved costly. |

helluva first game...and Pierce showed a lot of guts. I am marginally rooting for the lakers, and have to say, Kobe was off and the Lake show missed a LOT of open shots in the second 1/2...I still think it goes 6 or 7, with the Lakers cutting the celtics' heart out in Boston...

I'm not sure about you guys, but that dramatic return by Pierce seems a little phony. And no, I'm not saying this because of Phil Jackson's remarks on it. Besides, I'm rooting for the men in green. But, as I was saying, it's weird that it looked like he was done for possibly the rest of the series getting carried off because of his knee and then miraculously skipping back to the bench under his own weight.

to me the way he was being carried of court didnt look right....
dude was pulling all crazy on his leg and knee trying to lift him out of there.... to me that looked wrong.....dont they normally have a couple guys for the player to hold around the shoulders as a crutch to help him walk out?

Yeah, it's weird. It's just one knee. He could've put his weight under his other knee while be escorted as if he had a bad sprained ankle. Maybe, it was more dramatic? Or they just wanted to get him off the court ASAP so they can resume play?

i think it'll go 7
Kobe will take it over and the lakers will win... |

yeah, I have never seen someone carried off in quite that manner, and was shocked to see him back so soon. Jackson loves to stir it up and get inside the other team's head. he is a big edge for the lakers over doc rivers

Go Boston. I really really hope they win. After much consideration I came to the conclusion that my Laker hate trumps all.

What a performance by Leon Powe. I'm happy for him. The segment they did on him during halftime was moving and very inspirational. Glad to see our own Oakland native doing well. Go Cal alumni!

yeah, my son and I voted for him online for player of the game. What a steal for Boston he was...weird ass game. Lakers, other than Gasol and Kobe, just sucked, especially Radmonovic until the end, and they still almost stole it. Boston deserves its lead, but they must know that the Lakers have played about 2 quarters at their best, andany game the Lakers put together 2 good quarters they are just too good for the celtics. If Lakers win all 3 in LA, they will win the series, Boston gets one it wins... To Live is A Value Judgment - Albert Camus
