Would you trade Baron to the Clipps? If the Clippers ended up with either the 2nd or 3rd pick and offered Al Thornton as part of the deal??? Also let's say that Brand opted out???
I would love to make that trade!!! Thornton in college reminded people of a Shawn Marion...I wanted this guy too bad he couldn't drop down to the W's 18th pick last year!!!

Im not too high on thorton, he can score but im just not sure he has a winning mentality. I didn't follow him in college but he seems like a player that is content with getting his stats and doesn't feel a huge need to win.
Basketball would be depressing without the warriors

yeah. besides, if brand opted out, im sure baron wouldnt want to go to the clipps. and id believe itd go the other way too..if brand thought there was a way of getting baron there without himself being part of the trade, he probably wouldnt opt out. i dont think baron is worth thornton and a higher draft pick. not unless rose is 100% ready to become the kind of point guard he can be in this league. Ummm!!! Baron is from LA and if they offered him a max contract I'm sure they would take it!!! They will have another high draft pick and Kaman didn't play the whole year either...It will be interesting to see Thornton, Kaman, Brand and their next pick next year!!! It looks like GS will have more competition next year...
If Rose, Beasley and Griffin came out then I'd offer Baron for one of the top 3 picks!!! |

doubt it.. baron wants the lakers not the second rate clippers..you are crazy if you think Baron can swallow his pride and play for the clippers. After all Baron grew up watching the Lakers.

J-Rich might be right. If Baron wants max money and the Clips are the only team biting, he might sign...at least I wouldn't be surprised.
Hell. he could always demand a trade towards the end of his deal, lots of guys do it
