I think the Hawks may trade down now.
Although all the WR's are there. Devin Thomas could look good in a Hawk uni and while not a need, Jenkins would be a great pick. I heard a rumor that the Hawks are considering Henne with their 1st rounder. If they did that I would literally PUKE all over my keyboard! _____________________________________________________

I could see the Niners going after a reciever like DeSean Jackson, a linebacker, Connor, or a lineman, Groves.
I bet they f*ck it up though, and pick some sh*tty ass player. 2007 - GoldenStWarriors.com "Rookie of the Year"

Hmm.... not a bad pick in Kentwan Balmer. They addressed a need, and that is all that matters. I hope he turns out to be a productive player.... I will have fun saying his name, too. Kentwan Balmer.

Missed the last few picks... I don't get Johnson to the Titans, Jenkins is a great pick for Dallas, Duane Brown was only picked because there are no more o-linemen of note available, Cason makes sense for San Diego and now your picks:
Lawrence Jackson ain't a bad pick... but I think WR would have been a better use of that first rounder. As for the Niners... Kentwan Balmer makes sense, but I said in the NFL thread that I think he has the biggest bust potential of the whole draft. Guess that's why he was available. One comment: I don't think this WR class is as bad to not have a single WR picked in the first 30 picks. For whatever reason (well, lack of sucess in previous years), teams are scared sh*tless of WRs in the first round, but some of these guys deserved to be first rounders. |

Alright, the first is all done. I am not going to type in the second round... for now at least. If somebody wants to keep it going, feel free, just edit my post.
I'm out..... until the Niners pick, anyways. 2007 - GoldenStWarriors.com "Rookie of the Year"

Not sure how I feel about the Jackson pick... did not seem like a big need and where we could have had our pick of the top WR or top TE which were more areas of needs. hmm
at least we did not pick Balmer! _____________________________________________________

Keller and Kenny Phillips close the first round. I really like the Phillips pick by the Giants. They needed to replace Gibril Wilson and did it with the best S in the draft.
Merling in the second to Miami is also a good pick. They were lucky to have him available. btw, I think I'll keep checking the draft tomorrow, as it's almost 1AM here. |

Niners back on the clock. I am looking at either DeSean Jackson or Dan Connor.

pick is in for the 49ers: chilo rachal.
"Losing is inevitably close to winning," Guber said. "They're inches apart. Drama. If you have drama, you've got a ticket to sell." "They're not real fans," Lacob said. "They don't have season tickets."

Based on what they showed for highlights of the guy, it looks like he can move the line pretty well. Also, he hasnt given up a sack in two years, which is pretty remarkable. 2007 - GoldenStWarriors.com "Rookie of the Year"
