2002, World Series, Game 6. It broke me. I haven't been half the sports fan since. I had to go home, look at myself in the mirror and tell myself that I wasn't on the Giants and could NOT be depressed.
It was the worst day in sports.
Worst memories as a sports fan

1998, 49ers FINALLY beating Green Bay and Favre in the playoffs only to lose 20-18 to Atlanta the next week along with losing Garrison Hearst to a horrific ankle injury.
Oh and Roger Craig's fumble against the Giants in 1990 that ended the 3peat. ![]() |

I have two and I was there for both of them.
Roger Craig fumbling against the Giants in the 1990 NFC Title Game Steve Bartman and the 8 runs that came afterwards |

Are you a Cubs fan, then? That was a pretty nutty play. I heard an interview with Moises Alou, who was the one who was trying to catch the ball, and he was saying that he wasnt going to get it, anyways. He was saying that he understood why the fans were mad at the guy, but it wasnt completely his fault. 2007 - GoldenStWarriors.com "Rookie of the Year"

Can't say this isn't a bad memory but like someone said in the Warriors forum, at least some of us didn't have to experience the Bimbo Coles and B.J. Armstrong eras. Don't hate yourself in the morning... sleep 'til noon.

I was really hoping that this one was not going to be spoken of...more sleepless nights

That hurt me probably the most. Yorks assuming ownership of the 9ers/Denis Ericson becoming the 9ers head coach/TO not being resigned/Garcia getting released - Destroyed my football team and we likely wont recover for many years to come. Warriors not making the playoffs after such an emotional season (2007-2008, duh!), I watched all but 4 games of this previous season and I felt betrayed during that Texas trip when our players just gave in. lol, Bada is such a homer... Steelers VS Hawks SB wasn't all that poorly officiated, well not any where in comparison to how the Raiders got screwed on the tuck play - LOL not even close! I HATE the Raiders and I still felt for them on that one. Hawks got out played plain and simple, yeah there may have been a few bad calls but the faghawks never stood a chance. BIG BEN BADA! BIG BEN! lol I hate the steelers for the record, it just felt so right, seeing them handle the overrated hawks with such ease.... I only find joy in other's misery, for my teams bring me none of my own... |
