Can someone confirm if the playoffs still match up the second round winners without any reseeding? I remember there was talk the last two years about reseeding, but I don't think anything was passed
For example, if this is the first round matchups:
1 - NO
2 - San Antonio
3 - Lakers
4 - Utah
5 - Houston
6 - Phoenix
7 - Dallas
8 - Golden State
Then the first round is 1 v 8, 2 v 7, 3 v 6, and 4 v 5
Let's say that Golden State upsets NO, and Dallas upsets San Antonio.
With no reseeding, the matchup would be: Golden State (eight) vs Utah (4) and Lakers (3) vs Dallas (7). If there were reseeding, then the Lakers, as the highest remaining seed, would play Golden State, as the lowest remaining seed. And Utah would play Dallas.

Thanks! It should be pretty interesting this year, as I could easily see a couple of the top seeds getting knocked out in the first round in the West. |
