Though there hasn't been an official statement, Favre said in a telephone call/interview today that he is hanging it up this off season. This isn't the first time he has said this, but in my opinion, he means it this time. Funny how it came the day after Moss signs with the Pats which, whether or not he admits it, had to play a role in his decision. He had a great career, I think he is a top 5 qb all time, what do you guys think?

Yeah, seems like this time he really means it. So... I'll say top 10 all time. Top 5 seems a bit too much. I'll post my list in the other thread...

Brett has had a great career, although I am not a Packers fan I can admit he is easily one of the Top 10 QB's in history. It was a great run Favre, I'm just glad I don't have to watch #4 against the 49ers anymore

Adios. But I can only wonder if this is official.

There hasn't been an official press conference yet I don't believe, but Goodell did comment on it. I imagine he'll wait as long as he can before he makes it official, but he sounded pretty serious. |

Seems like he doesn't feel wanted by the Packers anymore (his own words)... From the outside, it looks odd, but who knows what happened between him and the team this offseason? |
