Guys, I will post this on both threads.
We need to start deciding on how we are going to go about drafting. Live draft, draft on here, or auto-draft? What types of settings? Just the default? I just want to make sure that everybody is happy with how we do this. 2007 - GoldenStWarriors.com "Rookie of the Year"

Don't worry, I've never done fantasy baseball before either. I don't even know how anything works from drafting to rosters. By the end of this baseball season, I wouldn't be surprised if I said that "I think I'll stick with fantasy basketball and football in my future endeavors." Don't hate yourself in the morning... sleep 'til noon.

Well, I'm not worried about league tactics... I'm worried about my absolute lack of knowledge about baseball, which will make me draft the highest rated players... or those whose name I like more. Although that could be a blessing in disguise. As for the draft... I think I'll do an auto-draft once the league is set. But for those of you that know a lot more than me, it might be better to set up a time and date for a live draft. |

i don't know how to play...can someone explain to me first..thx

Yeah, in short, it's like a bball league... but with baseball. It's also gonna be my first baseball league, so you're not the only one wondering how it goes. |

So, William, I will try and help you out here.
There are a number of different ways to get your players. There are a number of different ways to draft, and that type of thing, and, because it is similar to the basketball leagues, I wont go into detail about it. The gameplay of fantasy baseball is kind of interesting. Depending on which way we go, there are different rules. No matter which game you play, though, you always get points for the major stats: average, hits, runs, homers, triples, doubles, stolen bases, walks (for pitcher), strikeouts (for pitchers), ERA, WHIP, that type of thing. You get points taken away for giving up runs as a pitcher and striking out as a hitter. Obviously, it is more deep than that, but that is the basic idea of it. There are two different types of game modes: head to head and rottiserie (sp.). H2H is a weekly thing, playing against different players in your league. R is a yearly thing, adding up your total points for the year. We havnt decided how we are going to do ours. If you decide to play, let me know. It is pretty fun. 2007 - GoldenStWarriors.com "Rookie of the Year"

I'd be in as long as my name could be 0 splash hits 4 world titles!!!

Personally, I'd like h2h over rottiserie. It's a lot more engaging when you know you're gonna have to beat a different rival week after week.
