This division gets kicked around pretty good in the national media and mostly it is deserved... however it is really great to see two such amazing MLB's here.

Today, Lofa Tatupu and Patrick Willis were named the two 1st team All-Pro LB's!!!

Lofa has been a Pro-Bowler all 3 years in the league and this is his first All-Pro team. Willis is a pro-bowler and all-pro in his 1st season.

Glad the voters overlooked youth and realized that (no disrespect to Urlacher and Lewis) that the two best MLB's in the league are right here in the NFC West.

Congrats to Tat and P-Willie!!!

Barrett Ruud >>>>>>> Those two together.

Ok, I'm kidding, but Ruud is also gonna be a part of that "future of the mike LB".

B Ruud is a very good player. Probably will end up being GREAT.

However Tatupu and Willis have something SPECIAL. They are very different players but both have HUGE impacts on their teams.

But definately Ruud is part of the new young wave of outstanding Mike's

Ok. Everybody is happy, then. I just had to defend my boy.

Here goes to a great crop of MLBs. :drinking:

EDIT: Add David Harris to that list. Call it a hunch, but I love how that kid plays.

Can't agree with you more, bada. Tatupu and Willis, IMO, are the best MLB in the NFL today. These two are the leaders of their defense. I'm pretty sure we'll be hearing both their names in Canton, Ohio someday after their playing careers are over. The NFC West may be soft, but in some positions, we'll kick anyone's ass in. :D

Hey, I'd still take a healthy Urlacher above them. He doesn't have the same kind of stats, but the Bears D is much more talented than the Niners, for example (and pretty similar to the Seahawks).

Also, I don't think P-Willie has the same leadership skills that Urlacher has (yet... he's only a rookie, and you got that with experience. I think he will in a couple of years).

Those three are, to me, the cream of the crop. After them, there are a lot of good to great MLB, like Ruud, Vilma (who looks worse than he is playing in a 3-4), David Harris (still unproven, but I'm adding him here nonetheless), EJ Henderson... There's no shortage of good MLB.
