Problem with Internet Window not maximising properly

Some help needed please!

For the last three days my Internet windows and a couple of document folders have not been maximising properly. What happens is that when the windows are not maximised, I can stretch them so they take up the whole screen but when I maximise them, a gap of about 1/2 a cm is left across the top of the screen. You can see the maximised Outlook Express or document folder windows behind them becasue they do take up the whole screen when maximised. The bottom of the internet window is also chopped and by that I mean it is off the bottom of the screen so I can't see all the "status bar" but can only see a fraction of it.

A solution is appreciated

Which windows version are you running?. Because if it's XP, you'll probably be able to solve it restoring a previous version of the system.

Check this link, anyway:

Probably won't be reason of your problem, but it's worth trying.
