Blazers acquired the 27th pick from New Orleans for cash considerations.

I don't get it. The last thing they need is another young prospect. They need some veterans to surround their young guns.

Well. Cash is nothing if the owner is willing to pony up. This doesn't count against the cap right?

They can trade it for a piece.

they do need a point guard though...maybe they figure with a young core that is so good they dont really need the veteran yet cuz eventually theyll all be veterans together and win rings, kinda like the spurs.

Really? I thought that a mix of Jarrett Jack and Sergio Rodriguez, in addition to Steve Blake is a pretty good group. If they think some of them are leaving, I guess, but I would be happy with that. Looking at their team, though, none of them are leaving. I dont get it.
