i took this from an article i read now the only question is what type of package can we put together to get him hmmm.... help me out guys.
Teams like Denver and Golden State, who both like Artest, might be more willing to take a risk on the dramatic star now that the Lakers have raised the stakes, especially since either team could very well find itself left out out of the super-tight race for the Western Conference playoffs.

pietrus
o'bryant
perovic
croshere
2008 1st rd pick
for
artest
williams(filler) "sleeper at center"
why we would do it
to contend for a championship
why they would do it
they get 2 promising big men
and a decent wing man in pietrus
and a decent frontcourt backup in croshere
and a fisrt rd pick next year why wouldnt they
do it they get better for the future after all
this package is way better than the memphis
give away package right? help me out if you
readers have any better packages to put together
that will be good for both sides bottom line is
the kings are gonna lose artest next year anyway
they midest well get something decent in return
right.
artest to keep up with the lakeshow....

The thing you have to keep in mind is that O'Bryant and Perovic by no means are "promising young big men." The one thing that you did not mention as a plus to them is that three out of the four guys going to them are expirers next year. I'm not sure how much the Kings value Artest, but it could happen, I guess. Do know, though, that we are giving them a lot of trash. They might want Ellis or Wright to make it reasonable.

Artest is gonna opt out at the end of the season (or so it seems, to sign with NY by next seaoson).
Unless he commits to sign an extension, I wouldn't trade more than Pietrus and POB for him. |
|
I dont even think Sac would take the trade.... |
|
this trade will get sac 2 picks in the first rnd next year sac gets bigger wich perovic and o'bryant will fit that need they arent garbage sf fan they just need to get more time on the floor so they can show their skills think im crazy but they can use pietrus playing small forward instead of power foward wich will be a benefit to pietrus and the kings pietrus will actually help the kings and fit in just well as far as crohere he will add depth to the bench. the kings can go that route or just keep artest and lose him for nothing next year. Clifford Rozier rememer him?

not that I suggest they do it (because we need to resign Beans and Monta) but I'd bet they would do it for the TPE. Especially if they will just lose him at the end of the year. THen maybe trade Pietrus for Williams and someone to make salaries work.

heres another trade scenario wich will make a little more sense for both teams this trade will get belinelli azuz spot and perovic stays i think perovic is a keeper as far as sac go's they get azu i think he can
fit in well with the kings we all know what he can do, the other guys and yes the kings get our 1st rounder next year. azu pietrus o'bryant croshere 2008 1st rnd pick for artest http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/t ... &te=&cash= davis/watson jackson/ellis/belinelli artest/harrington webber/wright/croshere biedrins/perovic Last edited by mista240sx on Sun Feb 03, 2008 2:24 pm, edited 3 times in total.

Yeah, that second trade is much more possible. They just might take that.

Artest belongs with the Warriors: Thug, great 3-pt shooter, friends with Jack, quick, athletic, great at steals. That would be a gr8 match.

|
yeah i think so to but the keys to that trade for us is keeping perovic and giving belinelli more playing time at shooting guard i think belli can be a star in this league. Clifford Rozier rememer him?

Artest seems determined to play in New York...
Its likely that he will opt out of his current contract and become a free agent... no matter what team he's playing on... but If the W's traded for Artest, they would become title contenders if you were Sac... would you rather have Nene from Denver or the Warriors trade package that Mista240x suggested? You do realize that Perovic has no future in the league, right? If someone wanted him, for anything, they would give him up. He is not even a prospect, I dont think. He is a space filler. 2007 - GoldenStWarriors.com "Rookie of the Year"

i disagree i seen him play 5 minutes and he looked better than o'bryant all together just give him more time bro you will see his skills. Clifford Rozier rememer him?

believe me he would love playing here with his homies jack, harrington and davis he wouldnt want to leave especially after contending for a title. who would wanna leave that? friends championship rings? i wouldnt wanna leave that. Clifford Rozier rememer him?

But that is the thing. He wont get time. He will fade away. He is a big, tall, slow big man, and Nellie wont go for that at all. I bet he isnt dressed at all, with Webber here now, for the rest of the season. 2007 - GoldenStWarriors.com "Rookie of the Year"
