Awful. We'd be stuck with just Gasol in the middle, Mike Miller cannot play PF. That team is not a contender. It's barely a playoff team.
Also, we'd be destroying our future salary cap flexibility. The other trade acquiring only Gasol and Warrick for Wright, Al and fillers made a lot more sense. Not saying that I'd do it, but at least made sense. This one just... sucks for us. |

Won't happen. No other player in that trade is on Gasol's level. If we're gonna give up Biedrins AND Harrington, I'd rather it be for a bigger star than Gasol (whose proven he won't solve a team's frontcourt issues by himself). Plus, WHY would the Grizz take ALL our garbage (Pietrus, Kosta, P'OB) for players like Mike Miller and Stromile Swift...?
Terrible idea. ![]() GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD ![]() ![]() |

Not only does it not really make us a beter team...why would we completely revamp the roster. As others have said...terrible idea

On the flipside it doesn't really make the Grizzlies a better team either :-) |

how about we get just swift? or just warrick?
and how about everyone just forgets about trying to get gasol. he would fail miserably in a system like ours unless he can show that he can run. theres no way nelly slows down the game for gasol...he's no Tim Duncan "the victorious warrior wins first, and then goes to war; the defeated warrior goes to war first, and hopes to win."- The Art of War

I don't want Swift... but Warrick would be a good fit. He's also a cheap player and I don't think it would cost much to trade for him. |
