Ric Bucher is saying that Tyrus Thomas is being shopped around. Who Would you guys be willing to give up to get him? I think he would be an ideal fit for our system and the Perfect 4.

Pietrus and a 1st round pick or barnes and a 2nd round pick. I wouldn't give up much else, he isn't a bust by any means but he should be playing better.

Nothing. Ty Thomas is one of the worst picks in the history of the draft.
And it's a shame, because he has it all to be a good player, even a star. Just doesn't have the desire. If he ever matures, he's gonna be a very good player... but right now, he looks like the Pacman Jones of the NBA. Without the legal trouble, but I expect that to happen any minute. |

Correct. Joakim Noah, Brandan Wright, Tyrus Thomas... they're all interchangeable. Thomas is a stud, but we already have an athletic 4 that can make plays. ![]() GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD ![]() ![]() |

I didnt like his attitude in the slam dunk contest. He was talkin about how he was just in it for the money. I'll pass on Tyrus.

I would think that after the Big Ben-Joakim spat they'd be shopping Noah more than Thomas. I'd trade POB and a top 14 protected 1st for Noah - he is at least tall enough to play a legit center.

He wouldn't play here. If Nelson isn't playing Wright, there's no way he'd play Noah. They're identical players.

Yeah, we don't need another high draft pick wasting away on the bench.

Wright has a way higher ceiling than both noah and Thomas. He will become a much better Post player and a way more athletic.

You hit it right there. Wright's ability to run the floor seperates him from both Noah and Thomas. Noah and Thomas will both have their specialties, both doing SOME things better than Brandan does, but they wouldnt be able to run up and down. Wright has really impressed me with his athleticism. He can grab a board and go with it. I dont follow the Bulls to closely to say it for sure, but I'd be willing to bet that neither Noah nor Thomas handle the ball. 2007 - GoldenStWarriors.com "Rookie of the Year"

Noah... I can see. But Wright is not more athletic than Thomas. He might be many other things, like more focused, and thus, a better basketball player, but not more athletic.
Athleticism is not the problem with Ty Thomas. It's the rest of the package what fails. |

Agreed. I think what separates Wright is that he appears to have Thomas' athlecism AND Noah's hustle. That's special, right there.
Anyone else think it looks too easy for Wright to tip jam his rebounds back in? He collects it, slams it, and descends all in a matter of moments... ![]() GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD ![]() ![]() |
