the sonics werent looking to re-sign rashard. so your point is actually invalid in this situation and actually doesnt help your case.

No one biting for Kidd
http://www.nj.com/sports/ledger/index.s ... xml&coll=1

Kidd wants out...and No one Wants to Deal

this is a time the Warriors could get J.KIDD for practically nothing...
Better Kidd on the Warriors then any other team in the West

(I also hear that Denver is going after Artest)

New Jersey is rebuilding and they need to get rid of J.Kidd's contract
J. Kidd wants out
J.Kidd would love to finish his career in the Bay Area
The Warriors have Young Prospects to deal

and

After Chris Webber
and
After the Lakers, Grizzlies trade... anything is possible

+

Kidd can defend multiple positions, Baron can Play multiple positions and Defend multiple positions...

I think They would be the Best Backcourt in the League!

Kidd is older and wouldnt need as many mins...
And would be a positive figure on and off the court
He would help with development of all our younger players especially Monta...

THIS IS JASON KIDD WERE TALKING ABOUT!!!

One thing you need to keep in mind is that we need to match his twenty million dollar contract. We dont have any big contract expirers that would be able to touch his massive contract. That is part of the reason why nobody is being able to get him.

Well, that's... creative. And it works for 3 of those teams, but would New Jersey take Marbury's contract?. I don't think so, considering they were desperate to get rid of him the last time he played there. Maybe if he were a expirer, but he still has another year after this one over 20 million...

Nice try, tho. If you can replace Marbury for an expirer (and picks or a youngster with potential), I could see this one happening.

I can see this offseason, if the team signs one of the young guys to a ridiculously huge contract, that maybe they'll try to get Kid but that contract of his just makes it near impossible

I love Kidd... but he's washed up.

So two words to this trade (or any trade for J.Kidd) - HELL NO.

PPG 11.1 | APG 10.4 | SPG 1.5 | RPG 8.1

HE'S ALMOST AVERAGING A TRIPLE-DOUBLE this season

J.Kidd averages 14pts, 9 apg and 6 rpg for his career

that's true for this year (which would probably be the only year we have him). i honestly think he may have 1 more good season in him. after that he's dunzo. but even if we're only gonna have him for the rest of this season or longer, i wouldnt trade for kidd. we already have an elite point guard. top 3 PG IMO, and argueably the best all around point guard in the league. we dont need another starting point guard.

I think he has 2-3 years of good basketball in him after this year...

It really depends on the Situation...

If Kidd played on the Warriors he wouldnt need as many mins...Because of Baron, Monta and Watson... which would allow him to extend his career...

John Stockton retired at age 40... J.Kidd is 34

HONESTLY...

im a HUGE J.KIDD FAN and would love to see him finish his career back home in the bay...

and

J.Kidd and Baron Davis would be the best backcourt in the league..

but

I wouldn't trade for J.Kidd if it negatively effects the re-signing of either Baron Davis or Monta Ellis...

and I would only trade for J.Kidd if after this season he took a pay-cut...

thats the ONLY situation where we should try to acquire him anytime soon. with his age being a factor, id want kidd to take the backseat to baron and take a huge pay cut before becoming a warrior. if he starts and we're forced to play baron at 2 (which he wouldnt do as well at since its not his natural position) he would slow any further improvment of monta and buike. if he takes the back seat and comes off the bench, then we would have someone who will legitly spell baron some time without sacrificing anything by taking him out.

of course this situation would never happen so no use gaining any false hope.

thats the point tho...its not gonna happen. pretty much the whole reason we wont get kidd.

and for the record, off the top i cant recall anyone taking a paycut just to get on a team....unless you count karl malone's transition from utah to the lakers. not like he wanted to leave utah to go to la tho.
