WOW NELLIE! I CANT SAY I WAS EXPECTING THIS! I FEEL BAD FOR J-RICH, FINALLY GETTING TO THE PLAYOFFS, NOW GOING TO A TERRIBLE TEAM, BUT THEY SHOULD BE GETTING ALOT BETTER QUICKLY ADDING J-RICH, RESIGNING G. WALLACE, ADDING AN ATHLETIC SCORER IN DUDLEY! WE GET A GOOD YOUNG TALENT IN WRIGHT, TO PAIR UP WITH BIEDRINS, I LOVE J.R., BUT THATS A TRADE YOU GOT TO MAKE CONSIDERING THE DEPTH WE HAVE AT GAURD

Brandon wright will be a future star. Im fine with that because J rich hasn't been J rich after his knee surgery.

What are his exact measurements? Is he really 6'10 or 6'9?

At the combine he measured 6'8.75 without shoes, 6'10 in shoes _____________________________________________________

actually, i think JRich will make them into playoff contenders. The #8 team in the east consistently has had a sub .500 record over the years so I think the bobcats will have a real chance to make it with JRich. Agreed, JRich will make the Bobcats an 8th seed, at least... but the depth Brandon Wright gives us up front (along with Patrick O'Bryant's inevitable return!) will take us deeper into the West. I can see Golden State hitting a 4th or 5th seed now! ![]() GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD ![]() ![]() |

I think the trade was a BIG step back for this team. This is Richmond for Billy Owens once again. The front office is gonna regret this trade and may ultimately cost them their jobs.
Hopefully I'm wrong, but I see Wright in the same mold as Marvin Williams. A player that will never be anything else than a role player. 15 and 7 as tops of his career. No way he becomes a contributor like J-Rich was for us. God, what a disappointing draft...

I am one who liked the Richmond for Owens trade and the team did get better straight away when players were healthy. Great comparison though between this trade and that trade. Diference here is - the Warriors didn't need BWright! Had Mullin traded Harrington for BWright like he should have (saving the same amount of money), this would be a great trade! What literally has happened is that Mullin traded the loyal warrior of the team, whose skills improved to become "essential" to this team (especially that dynamite outside shot, which was the best on the team), for a player that may not even start! IF and only IF Mullin can get rid of Harrington in a trade to get........ don't know, a real PF that fits the needs (not sure BWright does) or a real SG to replace JRich (Monta is too small and so Mullin has really created a hole at that position), this was a horrible trade because a hole was created and lack of depth in the backcourt and a logjam was created at the forward spots. Got a feeling Mullin either has a huge trade in the making or he wants to save money to resign Monta and Biedrins and thus won't resign Pietrus and Barnes ![]() ![]() migya make the ring fall on ya |

Im not going to bring up the past. im going to think of our bright future! "Losing is inevitably close to winning," Guber said. "They're inches apart. Drama. If you have drama, you've got a ticket to sell." "They're not real fans," Lacob said. "They don't have season tickets."

I just don't see the whole Marvin Williams thing. I mean... they're both... athletic?
Marvin is 6'7" of pure athleticism who never showed any flare for defense or rebounding. His improvement goals included refining his ENTIRE offensive game. Brandon Wright is 6'10", a ferocious defender whose long arms swat shots, he hustles on the glass, and he's an athletic god who can run and jump with any near-7-footer in the league. His improvement goals are simply to add 15 pounds of muscle and MAYBE improve his back-to-the-basket game (not that we need him to). That's it. Brandon Wright is just as sure of a bet as Andris Biedrins was. All it takes is a little more muscle and some NBA experience. ![]() GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD ![]() ![]() |

Strickly rumors but it is being floated out that the W's and Sonics are talking regarding a sign and trade with Lewis for our 10mil trade exemption.
Lets just say this is true and happens, how would the people that hate the Jrich deal feel about it now. Essentiall it would be JRich and Davidson for Brandon Wright and Rashard Lewis? Last edited by bada on Fri Jun 29, 2007 3:21 pm, edited 1 time in total.

If that happens, that would be a great signing for us. Would change it all. But because we would be adding a bonafide star and someone who is already an accomplished player. My problem with the trading is getting rid of J-Rich for potential. If it's for Lewis, then I'm all for it. |

There are people who hate JRich...?
And I think it'd be a decent trade. I don't see a whole lotta difference between Rashard and Richardson, really. 'Shard doesn't rebound, for a 6'10" guy, he can shoot, but he doesn't play defense, can't dribble, and is a sloppy passer. Basically, we'd be increasing Richardson's contract... but he'd add another 4 inches. ![]() GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD ![]() ![]() |
