Considering that it is going to take Deng and Gordon to land Gasol for the Bulls, they would be left with a 2 guard shortage. They've been high on Pietrus for a good while now, and PJ's expiring contract would be expendable. So, if the Deng/Gordon for Gasol deal goes through would you do this deal for the W's:

Pietrus and Foyle

PJ Brown

It clears up the logjam at wing, dumps Foyle's salary (effectively locking up Ellis and Biedrins) and the Bulls get their 2 guard to fill in while adding a solid backup defender for a playoff run. What do you think?

That I doubt the Bulls go for that trade with Foyle in it... Great for us, tho.

I think we'd be crazy not to do this... but I also think Chicago's smarter than to bite on it. Pietrus may or may not stay with them and if he leaves, they're left paying for Adonal Foyle.

The Bulls might prefer letting PJ Brown expire on their own and going after Pietrus, or another similar guard, in the free agent market.
