well they obviouslt wont give up tmac or yao. the onyl one left with little or some value left is probably stromile swift.
|
|
That's it and Swift is not that good ![]() ![]() migya make the ring fall on ya |

They don't have a single player (out of their big two) that I like... maybe Luther Head, but we would be giving up too much for him. I'd give them... Zarko. And a big hug.

Wesley, Sura and Alston can all be good but injuries and lackluster play is their story

They do have an '07 draft pick. I'd give up one of those players for their 07 first rounder.

Pitty that this draft is weak and may not have any real stars. Since Murphy is in the way of Diogu, it might be worth offering him for the Rockets 1st pick. That would be 8th and 9th pick, could be great trade bait for some team! We don't need any more young guys ![]() ![]() migya make the ring fall on ya |

How about adding say, Milwaukee into the mix.
Warriors get: Jamaal Magloire and Dikembe Mutombo Rockets get: Murphy and Fisher and Maurice Williams Milwaukee gets: Stromile Swift and Bob Sura We get a starting and backup center both with expiring contracts, Rockets get their good shooting forward and two point guards and Milwaukee gets a good athlete to pair with Bogut as well as a bigger, stronger backup point guard(provided he passes his physical for next season). We draft either Brandon Roy if he's available or Tiago Splitter instead if he's available. |
|
That crowds the Warriors at the center spot. Biedrins development would come to a screeching hault... and Mutumbo wouldn't be much of an addition; just an injury reserve (guarentee Montgomery plays Adonal behind Magloire). It's purely a salary dump. It'd be for it if we involved Dunleavy instead of Troy... but Murphy still has trade value beyond dumping for cap space. Its my hope we end up with a small forward after dishing Murph.

I don't want to just start looking at expiring contracts. That would make the team lose talent and assets and that is not the way to build and get stronger. Murphy is good enough to be traded for decent talent. It looks like an interesting trade but I reckon all teams would say no except maybe Houston, since Murphy alongside Yao would be interesting. I reckon Biedrins still needs to get better in a few areas, offense especially, before he is completely handed over the Center spot. He wil be very good yes, but not for another year unless he develops alot over the offseason. Magloire seems productive but he just isn't the shotblocker I thoguht he would be and the team would need him to block shots, not just rebound. His scoring is not what I expected, though he isn't getting the ball much in the Bucks and wouldn't here either, and his FT% is disgraceful! I'd rather Bogut. Mutombo will likely retire as he does sweet fuk all now. I wouldn't mind getting Swift to come off the bench for Diogu but Swift does get paid a bit high for coming off the bench but it would still be interesting as he has the talent to produce decently. Trade possibiity - Murphy and Fisher for Swift, Mutombo and Sura. Sura hopefully would not be so injured and is a do it all player, Mutombo is expirer and Swift is better defender and shot blocker than Murphy and would serve as backup PF. Fisher is a PG that might well be better for the Rockets than Wesley, though both are similar. Murphy gives the Rockets a good rebounder and outside shooter next to yao and opens up the lane for TMac ![]() ![]() migya make the ring fall on ya |

Great for Houston and the Warriors, awful trade for the Bucks... Sura is done and Swift's been always an underachiever. |

Stromile is still a fairly young, athletic bigman which is what the Bucks lack. If they shop Magloire around and aren't able to get any offers they like, I could see them taking a flyer on Stromile. His contract isn't unreasonable either. As for Bob Sura it all depends on how healthy is able to get. He offers the kind of veteran experience the Bucks could use, particularly when they get to the playoffs.
|
He's also a frontline player, which the Bucks are currently stuffed with. There's no way they'd go for this trade. ![]() GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD ![]() ![]() |

Let's be honest and fair about Stromile Swift, he averaged 20.4 mins a game and averaged 8.9 pts, 4.4 rbs, 0.6 stls, 0.8 blks! That is pretty good averages. I wouldn't mind having Swift on the warriros backing up Diogu
