Artest is a great player but a major risk - If he creates trouble he would probably end up leaving and the team would have actually lost out!

Boris Diaw is a great role player that just does it all! Possible trade:
Boris Diaw to Warriors,
Dunleavy and Artest to Suns, and
1st round pick (from Warriors), Kurt Thomas and JJones or JJackson to Pacers

This is good for all teams as GS gets rid of dun and that awful contract and gets Diaw who could either start at SF or backup Pietrus. Diaw has been great this season and Baron is a great PG like Nash!
Pacers get a big guy to help out Jermaine and Kurt is better than Foster and Harrison! They also get either swingmen JJones or JJackson who contribute immediately at SF.
Suns get another great defender in Artest and garbage in dun. They would not be able to sign any major freeagent and probably not even resign Artest. Yes, they become a powerful team, if not the most powerful in the league but Artest may not fit in! Artest's talent is atractive to a team that is close to a championship, like the Suns!

suns wont be stupid enough to make that trade.

Diaw has a lot of potential

6 assist per game from a player who plays with Nash is amazing.(& this is only his first year starting)

He has superstar potential.

Not bad. But I don't think the Suns would do it. They'd only get Artest, too much of a risk.

Nice thought... it's closer to being real than some of these "Pietrus for Kobe" ideas that people are burping up lately... but it's still too out there on the Suns part. It's an ideal trade for the Pacers, and a good one for the Warriors, but the Suns would need to be drugged pretty good to not catch this one.

Suns would be more championship caliber than what they are now! Sure Dunleavy is playing awful but he would be coming off the bench in the Suns and taking the place of JJones or JJackson. Dun is better getting limited minutes and concentrating on doing what he can in that limited time. Getting Artest is the big one for the Suns! Artest and Marion make a serious offensive and defensive tandem! Nash would make Artest score easier as well. Top that off with Amare coming back and being the Center and you got a much better team than what they have now! Suns management would probably risk and go for this trade if it was proposed
