Yeah, very sad. Heard it could be related to alcohol since he had a drinking problem. There were couple people on this board that wanted him. He was a beast rebounding the ball. Great hustle player also.

Damn. That guy had a lot of talent. He could have been an all star, but never got his head right. It's terribly sad it had to end like this. |

Just as well Mullin didn't sign him. Definately awful and the guy had talent and could have been real effective on the Warriors

That's not an appropriate comment right now. Another young black man has died WAY too early. We shouldn't be thinking about the would-be effects it might have had on our imaginary payroll. My prayers go out to the family and friends of Eddie Griffin. This is a tough time for them. The guy was so damn young and had so much natural talent. I guess he just couldn't control his demons. Its too damn bad. Rest in peace, Eddie. ![]() GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD ![]() ![]() |

Keep your pants on! Talking shiit again like always. I am glad Mullin didn't sign him, it would have been a shock to the team. I did think Griffin would've been a great fit on the team ![]() ![]() migya make the ring fall on ya |

God, migya, do we have to argue even in a fuckin death thread...?
Somebody brings to light the horrible tragedy of Eddie Griffin's premature demise and all you can think about is starting more trouble. That's disgusting. I'm outta this thread, just to avoid tainting a serious subject with your never-ending childishness. Have at it, you moronic infant. Once again, RIP, Eddie. ![]() GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD ![]() ![]() |

You started the garbage, like always, by saying what I said was uncaled for, though it was an innocent statement on my part ![]() ![]() migya make the ring fall on ya |

Lol............I miss you guys battling it out!!!
Was shocked when heard this one (as much as you always are when someone in the limelight dies) but then not shocked given his history. He could have been great and when he got it together for the periods of time that he did, he was very affective.................. and would he have been a great fit for us. Migya and 32..............your both right...........just one of you thinking outwardly and the other inwardly..............althougb Migya's comment was coupled with respect and sorrow afterwards. |

Griffin had great potential. He was buit for basketball, being long and lean and had very good athleticism and some good skills. With the money he had made, not much compared to the average nba player but huge compared to most people in society, you wonder why he didn't live life lavishly and decided to end it all

I heard that it was possibly a suicide.
