Same here. Mo Williams is one of the most underrated players in the nba. He is a better player than Ford, not by much but he is   migya make the ring fall on ya |

That's what I said. Mo is a better scorer. By the way, Mo Williams also plays 5 more minutes a game than TJ Ford (which makes Williams' 3-point, 1-rebound advantage over Ford seem pathetic... especially when you see that Ford STILL gets more assists and steals per game than him). The "better player" didn't even get to the playoffs.
TJ Ford, along with Sam Mitchell, reinvigorated the Raptors franchise and changed them from a half court offense to a running team. Check any Toronto board there is and they'll be happy to tell you that TJ was just as responsible as anybody else (sans Bosh) that the Raptors did as well as they did. Meanwhile, Mo Williams scored a lot of points and the Bucks didn't even make the post season. You're right. Its not even an argument. GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD |

In a cover-article from SLAM a few months back, Chris Bosh mentions that the first thing Brian Collangelo did when he arrived was ask Bosh which available point guard he'd like to play with the most... and Bosh hand-picked Ford.
The trade for TJ Ford was moreso Bosh's doing than anybody else.

Well, it depends on who was on that list of available PGs. I mean, if he has to chose between Ford, Mike James, Telfair and Fisher (just an example, as those were some of the guys that were available)... well, that's an easy choice. But I don't think Ford is even a top 10 pg in the league. A good one, sure... but nothing else. |

He's definately not a Top 10 PG... but neither is Mo Williams.
The two have, virtually, equal talent, but its distributed differently. Williams is a combo guard that can score far better than he can pass. Ford is a speedy playmaker who sets his teammates on fire by getting them the ball at the right time. Williams will get you 18 and 6. Ford will get you 16 and 8. It really depends on what you're looking to get out of your PG. Teams like Toronto (who are looking to win in the playoffs, rather than simply "make" them) understand that pass-first points (like Ford and Calderon) are essential to winning ball games. Score-first points entertain the fans, but don't usually win when it counts. GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD |

I'd put Mike Bibby above them, too. Mike Conley might be in there. And I have a feeling both Stephon Marbury and Steve Francis will have quasi-comeback seasons next year. But, other than that, sounds about right. GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD |
