WARRIORS ROBBED
12:47 a.m. ET Wednesday night

In the second half of Game 2 between Dallas and Golden State the Mavs had an 8-point lead when Baron Davis received his second technical foul, apparently for clapping. He may have laughed. He didn't appear to say much. But he applauded. Apparently the ref didn't want him to continue to applaud. So, he was ejected. Earlier in the game Davis had fouled Jason Terry, slightly hard, and words between Davis, DeSagana Diop and Stephen Jackson resulted in technical fouls on all three players. I thought no techs should have been called at all, just a foul on Davis and perhaps a warning that he came close to getting a flagrant or something.

Davis was having an awful game. His worst in a long time. But still, Davis being ejected was unfair. He should have had one tech. Or none. Not two.

Later in the game Jackson got another tech and was ejected as well. The Mavs went on to win[/b]

I agree; we got a little support on Around the Horn today, as well. Jay Mariotti even went as far as to say "These are the Golden State Warriors! They put points on the board in a hurry," implying that the game clearly wasn't over until the referees handed it to the Mav's.

Terrible.

God, I hope not. We play at home, so I expect them to cut us some slack, even if I'm sure we'll see some dubious calls going the Mavs way.

Things shouldn't be so bad in oakland but the Mavs will get favoured as it has been so one sided with reffing

Yeah, especially when you take into consideration how rocking The Oracle's gonna be tonight. Our fans won't stop screaming until the final buzzer. They've been waiting a HELLUVA long time for this. The last thing any ref wants is to get noticed in a rabid arena full of die-hard basketball fans. The Bay Area fans outta keep the ref's in check.

Rumor has it that Jessica Alba will be in attendance tonight as well. What asshole ref would want to piss her off???
