The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame named former player and current Warriors Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Mullin as a finalist for election to the Hall of Fame Class of 2007.

Mullin, joins a list of 14 others including: Phil Jackson, Dick Vitale, Adrian Dantley, Richie Guerin, Roy Williams, Eddie Sutton, Bobby Hurley Sr., Bill Davidson, Mendy Randolph, Mirko Novosel Pedro Ferrandiz, Van Chancellor and
Harley Redin each of whom were selected by one of the four screening committees. Mullin’s professional career spanned 16 seasons with the Golden State Warriors and Indiana Pacers .

He was a five-time NBA All-Star and a five-time member of the All-NBA team. During those five seasons, Mullin averaged 25-or-more points per game, joining Wilt Chamberlain as the only two players in Warriors franchise history and one of just 16 players in NBA history to average at least 25-plus points for five consecutive seasons. He’s the Warriors all-time franchise leader in steals and near the top of numerous other all-time career leading categories.

Judging by that list, I can't imagine anybody besides Jackson or Vitale getting in ahead of Mullin.

I hope he does get in. God knows he deserves it.

Yeah, Jackson should go first... then, Vitale or Roy Williams may be above Mullin (arguably), and that's all.

Hope he makes it.

There isn't a better PLAYER on the list than Mullin, which is why I'm confident he'll get it.

Mullin is a definate hall of famer and he deservs it
