we've been playing well as of late...

if we can cut down on the turnovers this game will be competitive...

yes, hope to see the warriors playing good and better. don't know who wins, but if it's competetive and we do not make 10 stupid mistakes in one quarter, i'd be happy. still, would like to see less of crawford.

Maggs= Warriors 50 million mistake, totally agree.

I think we can handle the raptors barely- again the warriors never seem to learn especially on the defensive end. They never stay with their assignment on the perimeter, leaving open 3's, and transition defense=terrible. Should be a close game though 105-103 Raptors. Belly goes for 30.

I'm wondering why all the hate for Crawford...he's their leading scorer and is a nice and team guy. Sure he might take a few bad shots, but not as many as Jackson or Maggette.

This game should be ours. They competed with the Raptors last time and lost a heartbreaker. Dub's defense has been better of late...(except for yesterday, even though it was mostly the turnovers)

I am going to this one, first game of the year at oracle. If you want to talk underachieving team, the raptors are the poster children for it...

There has been a really spirited back and forth on Crawford, and yeah, some of those who despise him have been pretty over the top, IMO - I have moved from agnostic on him to firmly in his camp, based on how he has played this year. 1st in points and assists/turnovers and 2nd in assists. He is a good and unselfish teammate, nice handles, good passer and an unstoppable crossover, who has already had 2 monster games for us. Doesn't play much D, but then again, who does? The Ws were last in the league in D last year, and I recall no threads excoriating individuals on defense, including the sainted Biedrins, statistically the worst defensive center in the league that year, according to 82games.com (who will forget everyone from Joel Pryzbilla to Raymond Bonner having career games against him?)

we allow 2 more points a game this year than last, and score almost 6 less. Funny how losing between 20 and 80 points of production a game will do that!

I see a big win for the Ws on this on, though they will make it closer than necessary. Calderon is, next to Paul, the best PG in the league, so if it is close at the end, we are in major trouble. 1st in assists/turnovers and 3rd in assists per game. Plus we are 40% through the season and the dude HAS YET TO MISS A FREE THROW...scary

well, i don't despise crawford, i just don't like his play. it's hard for me to tell what it is,yet. need more games to see and get the clearer view of him.
so, yeah it's not hate or anything emotional for more, i'm not that important to hate anyone.
it's basketball aesthetics. :)

i don't see how the warriors can even make it a close game. Their two best players are at our two biggest holes in our lineup, pg and pf. Calderon is going to efficient us to death and Bosh/O'Neal are going to be big bullies and dominate the glass on both ends.

The offence does not flow at times when Crawford playing the point, he needs to make that extra pass sometimes. Like Jax, last night instead of playing like he did against the Celtics, he tried to do way too much, too many stupid passes, he has to trust the other players, instead of trying to do everything. When Marco is playing , he always makes that extra pass to anyone on the court, ya he is makes mistakes but there is a good flow on the offence.

Bro, I am really impressed with Belli's improvement, and think he is POTENTIALLY a Ginobili-style difference maker, but he is not the distributor that Crawford is yet, no matter HOW big a fan of Marco you are, and he is more prone to reckless passes that lead to turnovers!

per 48 minutes: (to account for playing time)

Assists:
Crawford 6.5, Belli 4.4
Assists to turnovers:
Crawford 2.3, Belli 1.5
Points:
Crawford 26.0, Belli 22.8

If he continues, it does look like Belli has a more consistent stroke than Crawford does...that # can be tricky though, since Rob Kurz "shoots" better than many Ws, and he has no business on the floor IMO

Once Monta is back, a 4 guard rotation of Ellis, Crawford, Belli and Azu is a top 5 guard rotation in the league.
