Okay, okay... Pietrus was 0-5. HOWEVER, he was +16 (6 rebounds, 2 assists), the best +/- of any Dub (C.J. was 2nd, with +10).

Al is my favorite player... but I think he (-19, 2-6 FT's made) along with the refs contributed most to this loss... Everyone has an off game... this was Al's...

hey bigs my man i gota question for you bro...not to start an arguement but to gain understanding......the other day you posted an interview where a fellow remarked about a group of people and you took that as raciest??? but now a few days later this comment shows up about another group.....imo both comments were not raciest..please help me understand .....what is the differnce between the two....
#1 to many black players and 1.5 million or billlion whatever chinnise? :?:

Fair question..............

Well, not sure what your saying about the interview that I posted............the guy just came out and said there were too many black players in the league, which I took to be quite racist and couldnt believe that he said it.

My comment last night was in relation to the fact that Stern goes with his trends and is always looking play to his desired markets...........with China being a massive one.......ohh I dont know, about 1.5 billion people...........so who wouldnt put it past Stern and his crews to officiate Rockets games "different"...............watching last nights game it certainly seemed that way.

It was in no way a slight on Chinese people or anything at all, I was merely pointing out the fact that Stern would of course want to give a good impression to that huge market (especially outside the USA) and let there golden boy get away with a few.............thats all.

I was also a little upset and reaching for a scape goat so maybe worded it wrong, that scape goat being Stern, not Chinese people.

Also, with the video and a guy saying "there are too many black players" isnt really comparable to me saying "just let the f**king game be played for the players not your 1.5 billion Chinese viewers on Rockets night! and to get your little golden boys in the NBA finals (Spurs and Lebron last year)"..............I added the full quote of what I said to show that I wasnt highlighting the Chinese influence exclusively.

Apologies if anyone was offended by it, certainly not intended.

Question for you though............how did you interpret it? hence leading to your question?

bigs
my take was just that they both seemed inocent (your comment and his) yet i thought you may have been a little hard on the guy in the vid clip interview . i dont think you offended anyone....but i didnt see the offense in the other fellows clip sooo thats it.

He had the best +/- of any player in a shitty game in which everyone sucked? Check his +/- of any other game this year, and I guarantee you that Pietrus is at the bottom.

You also failed to mention the nasty looking turnover he had, the standing around watching the opponent shoot threes, and blatantly fouling the other team at half court.

Yeah, I failed because I was worried too much about Mickael Pietrus and Chris Paul than I was about Baron de Montesque or Voltaire.

NOOOOO!!!. Don't allow Pietrus to ruin your life. It's not enough with our season???

Nah, sorry to read that. You better worry about the right Baron next time.

That is actually how I remembered the first name of the guy. I thought of Baron. His laws and beliefs... those are a different story, though.

Baron de Montesquieu--seperation of powers in government, and the three branches that are commonly used in modern society (legislature, executive, judicial).

Voltaire--eh, doesn't really matter, just something to use when you want to impress girls (the few that like men with an education in philosophy)

You knew that or did you have to look it up? That is pretty impressive.

If I remember right, you arent much older than me. That means that you just took the class? If I have you confused for someone else, my bad, but for some reason I just thought of that.

so i'm not big on stats here sf, so enlighten me please. this +/- stat simply means that if, oh say, pietrus was +16, this means that while he was in the game, pietrus' team out scored his opponents team by 16 points?

WHOOOOA...WHAT A USELESS STAT...

so what conclusions do you draw EmceeT with pietrus being at +16????

Yes, that is exactly what it means. I dont like it because it doesnt truly show anything. It just means that your team went on a run while you were in there. He is implying that the team did better with him in there. All I have to say is that they were able to play well IN SPITE of him not BECAUSE of him. Who knows? They could have been +30 without him and his useless dumb ass.

Yeah, individual +/- doesn't mean much, 5 man +/- is a much more useful stat. And Pietrus isn't in the top 3 lineups on our team. He is in number 4, but with Baron, Monta, Jackson, and Beans. He then disappears.
