However, he is a bad passer and a bad dribbler, and he kills chemistry. If his shot isn't falling, he's useless. If it is, he's useful. Plain and simple.

Exactly what I have been saying - He has been shooting very well, he is a good defender but he is not a playmaker. Either way, he is doing his bit to help the team and at the end of the day that is all that counts

He was the only player to be -10 in the plus/minus stats against the Wizards. Worst on the team, to be exact.

That is all I want. I want him to earn his minutes, something I feel he hasnt been doing. If he was playing good basketball, by all means he should be playing. I dont have a vendetta against him.

from my memory of the wizards game, i saw him take ill-advised shots, but he also got some good steals. he does fight for the ball on defense and gets some good boards as well. pluses and minuses. he does fight for the ball on defense and gets some good boards though.

for the record, i'd say he's doing more good than bad, but not by much.

It's only really two guys on here that don't see the good that Pietrus has done so far but anyway, good to see you are giving credit where credit is due

i just dont like him playing at the 4... too many fouls... if its his hustle on defense that you guys like, i pray that marco turns it up a notch because theres no doubt in my mind that he will knock down more 3's than pietrus.

Pietrus should never play the 4, EVER. He is an undersized 3. He doesn't fit the system of mismatch because he simply can't take anyone off the dribble, even PFs. He is only there for shooting threes and playing adequate defense.

Wow, Davis, Ellis, Barnes, Jackson, Harrington. What a small lineup! They really need to box out Amare or he could kill them. Nice to see Barnes back, too.

Especially because there is no Pietrus

Wow, what a great first five minutes. Every shot is going in, and it is a fun game to watch, as the teams are feeding off each other's energy. I love Matt Barnes out there. Great couple turnovers he forced, a few nice passes, and they dont show in the stat sheet. He is an awesome hustle player that helps a team win.

As much as I like to bitch and moan about Pietrus, I really cant so far. No offense at all, but great defense, very active, picking guys apart. Because I gave love to Pietrus, I need to give love to my boy Matt Barnes. What a great player he is. Great passer, ball handler, rebounder, shooter, all around. I love Barnesy. I was really glad to see him start. They needed to keep that lead about 12, but I will take a 9 point lead against Phoenix. Keep it going, guys.
