Unfortunately in a team sport, the gains of a few are almost negated when the team still loses. The 49ers were almost delusional at the beginning of the year thinking that they were going to make it to the playoffs. They talk about all the minimal gains they made this year (player development, some plays working, etc), but they still don't make the playoffs and finish in the hunt for Reggie Bush. Point is, no matter how good a player plays, it doesn't mean a damn thing if it doesn't translate into team wins.
Sure, I'd like to see each player have a great game and I'd be happy with small gains with a team that is rebuilding. hell, JRich had 30pts! But that still doesn't translate into a win. For a team supposedly heading to the playoffs, they can't concentrate on small gains anymore. They have to win. If they are in a lull, they'd better snap out of it quickly. Every game counts.

hmm. Kind of like the Cavs game and then following that up with two stinkers vs. LAC.#32 wrote:Half empty, half full...

Nights like this, where they show solid improvement, means that they are one step closer to coming back and winning. .
This team is not improving one iota. They are proving that they are soft, unprepared, lacking any sort of killer instinct, and have zero cohesiveness.
What happened to the confidence, swagger, team play, etc. that we saw in the last 30 games of 04-05 season?
This team is fractured...
Ahh, I don't want to remember this game (especially the last 1.5 quarter)! Can we lock this thread a move on? LOL.
They played almost flawless basketball for the first 2.5 quarters though, wish they could hold on but oh well.
