Andre Dawson was the only player to make it into the HOF this year. I agree with him getting in, but I think he should have had company.

The first ballot snub is complete bullshit! Barry Larkin is a Hall of Famer, Robby Alomar is definitely a player who should have made it in on his first try.

How was Bert Blylevin left out once again? I dont get the voters for the Hall. Alomar, Larkin and Blylevin better make it in next year along with Tim Raines.

Alright! Andre Dawson has deserved it for years. Wasn't he the only 300/300 guy when bonds got there years ago?

Willie Mays was the first 400-300 player, then Hawk, then Bonds!

These sports writer who didn't vote for Roberto Alamar who have their damn credentials revoked. He was the best of 2ND baseman of his generation.

I am sick of these reporters like Jay Marriot pulling bullshit stunts like this, mostly to get attention for them selves. Bet Marrioti is on all of those ESPN 's shows tomorrow getting his 15 minutes of fame for being a rebel. Here is the quote from attention whore."

I didn't vote for anybody in the baseball hall of fame this year. Ya know why? To me...the first ballot is sacred. I think Roberto Alomar is an eventual Hall of Famer, not the first time. Edgar Martinez, designated hitter, eventually, but not the first time. Same goes for maybe Fred McGriff. As far as Blyleven and Dawson...if they haven't gotten in for years and years I cannot vote them in now. Ripken, Rickey Henderson and Gwynn. They are true first ballot Hall of Famers, but I didn't vote for anybody, throw me out of the Baseball Writers. I don't care."
As I booked into a hotel, I said to the receptionist, I hope the porn channel in my room is disabled.

Now tell me the contradiction in that statement.... that's exactly what i was talking about. If they haven't gotten in for years and years i can't vote them in now? but you won't vote for guys now because the first ballot is sacred. Gimme a break.

Any guy that sent in a blank HOF ballot, with no valid explanation should be removed from future voting. There were several worthy guys that should have been elected.

Not to take anything away from Andre Dawson, but IMO, there were atleast 3 players who should have gone in ahead of him.
