Cincinatti at Baltimore
Even after losing at NE, I still feel the Ravens are the class of the AFC. Cleveland at Buffalo What a yacker, I only hope Fred Jackson can get me some yards on the ground and find the zone. Washington at Carolina This week Jim Zorn gets his walking papers. Pittsburgh at Detroit The Champs may let Detroit feel like theyre in the game, but they wont be. Dallas at Kansas City Dallas may be bad, but KC is just what the dr. ordered to right the ship. Oakland at NY Giants With or without Eli the Giants roll against the Raiders. Tampa Bay at Philadelphia Philly should handle the Bucs pretty easily. Minnesota at St Louis Favre and A.P. should shred up the Lambs D. This one shoud look about like the Niners / Rams game. Atlanta at San Francisco I gotta go with SF @ home. Can Shaun Hill keep finding Vern. Davis in the Zone? Houston at Arizona A couple Jeckle and Hyde teams battle it out in the desert. I think Arizona falls further back in the NFC West. New England at Denver Tom Brady wins on the road this week and brings the Broncos down to earth a little bit. Even with this loss the Broncos still look to be the class of the AFC West. Jacksonville at Seattle The Jags shouldnt have much trouble in Seattle. Indianapolis at Tennessee Another W for Peyton and another winless week for the Titans. NY Jets at Miami I hate to pick them, but I think Miami follows up last weeks pounding of the Bills with an upset of the Jets. |

Cincinatti at Baltimore
They were a catch away from a first down and possible win last week. Cleveland at Buffalo Well, Cleveland's still dysfunctional. Washington at Carolina Both teams have issues, but this is Jim Zorn's farewell game. Pittsburgh at Detroit Pitt cannot lose this one, they just can't. Dallas at Kansas City Coming off a tough loss, they look to rebound against the poor Chiefs. Oakland at NY Giants Against the Giants? Ha.. Tampa Bay at Philadelphia Poor Bucs are in for a longggggg season. Minnesota at St Louis Sorry Rams are in for a longgggg season. Atlanta at San Francisco With the Niners at home heading into the bye, I gotta take them. They've played inspiring ball, why not pick them? Houston at Arizona This could be close but I still see the Cards keep pace with the Niners at home. New England at Denver Good game, but Tom Brady is different than Tony Romo. Jacksonville at Seattle Whether it's Hass or Wallace, the Jags should take this. Indianapolis at Tennessee Peyton gets a chance to shred up a struggling secondary. NY Jets at Miami I guess I find it hard for Miami to run the ball against this defense. And if they can't run, they obviously can't throw it with Henne. Don't hate yourself in the morning... sleep 'til noon.

This may be a close game, but Baltimore will win Cleveland at Buffalo Cleveland's QB situation means buffalo wins Washington at Carolina I think the Redskins would lose to the Lions.... wait they did, and they lose to carolina Pittsburgh at Detroit Pittsburgh wins by 3 Dallas at Kansas City Chiefs are just awful, and dallas is bad. Bad is better than awful Oakland at NY Giants No question here Tampa Bay at Philadelphia Bucs are as bad as anybody Minnesota at St Louis Rams are even worse than Tampa Atlanta at San Francisco Niners D is for real, this game lets them get known nationally Houston at Arizona Houston is inconsistent but this may be a game where the good texans show up New England at Denver Brady gets beat up but i think they have more talent than denver Jacksonville at Seattle Seattle has started making vacation and physical therapy plans Indianapolis at Tennessee Tennessee sucks so far this year NY Jets at Miami Miami better run the wildcat all day cuz they're QB situation is awful |

Week 6 picks!
A few tough games this week, but hopefully I can close the gap on TMC Houston at Cincinatti I keep reading that the Bengals are due for some bad luck, having won a couple of games on last-minute drives, coupled with some questionable calls, etc etc. But I still think they're legit. Meanwhile, the Texans are this season's under-achievers to date. All the offensive potential in the world, but ranking almost dead last in red-zone efficiency. This will be a close game, but the Bengals at home should do enough to get the win. Detroit at Green Bay Detroit aren't that bad, but they're not good enough yet to win on the road against a team like the Packers. Aaron Rodgers should put up some good numbers, and I think Greg Jennings will get back on track. Neither team seem to be doing much on defense, so I imagine this will be a fairly high-scoring game. St Louis at Jacksonville After getting demolished by the Seahawks, I imagine the Jaguars will be happy to be at home and have the hapless Rams come visiting. I do think the Rams will eventually win a game this season, but definitely not this week. MJD was bitching about his team's offense, so I can see him having a big day at the office. Baltimore at Minnesota Could the Ravens follow three straight wins with three straight losses? I say yes; I think the Vikings are playing with more momentum and confidence right now (especially their defense), and I expect them to hold off Baltimore in a very tight contest. I'm guessing 20-17. New York Giants at New Orleans The game of the round, and most likely the game of the season to date. I've ummed and ahhed about this one all week; while I think that the Giants might be the best team in the league, I think the Saints will come away with the win here - they are coming off a bye week, and they are playing at home, which always helps. In what's most likely an early NFC Championship preview match, let's say 28-21, with Brees playing the hero role late in the 4th quarter. Cleveland at Pittsburgh I can see why they're called the Browns, because they really stink. Their quarterback situation is a mess, and come to think of it, so is pretty much everything else associated with this team. The Steelers will be glad to play such an easy match, although some have suggested they don't get up for games like this (see their 8-point victory over the Lions from last week). Carolina at Tampa Bay When two fairly hopeless teams play each other, it's hard to know how things will unfold. I think the Panthers are less awful (even on the road), and expect them to pull out the victory. I think Steve Smith and DeAngelo Williams both have big games. Meanwhile, Josh Johnson is definitely getting things done for the Bucs, whether it's touchdowns for his team or interceptions for the opposition. Kansas City at Washington Another stinkfest. But here's an interesting stat. Every game the Redskins have played this season has been against an opponent who has yet to record a regular-season win. That trend continues here against the Chiefs, who I think are just all over the place. I imagine it will be a low-scoring affair, and when in doubt, I will lean towards the home team (although I wish I could abstain from picking in games this crappy Philadelphia at Oakland Man, do the Raiders suck!!!! No disrespect to the Raider followers on the board, but what the hell is wrong with this team? Their coach is a thug, their QB is a disaster, and their owner is, um, eccentric. I read an article where a Giants linebacker said their game against Oakland felt like a light training run. On top of all this, the Eagles are coming to town, and if there is one thing they do well, it's put points on the board. Philly by 30, at least. Arizona at Seattle My immediate reaction was to pick the Cardinals, but then I thought about it a little more. They're playing a little ordinary this season, and Hasselback in two starts at home this season has 7 TDs, and won both games by a combined 69-0. Obviously that trend won't continue, but I think the Seahawks will get up here, on the back of big games from TJ Housh and Nate Burleson. I sure hope they do, cause I grabbed Hasselback as a bye week fill-in for fantasy this week Tennessee at New England It's official - the Titans are no good this year. Their season has derailed, and I think they should bite the bullet and start playing Vince Young. Meanwhile, the Patriots are a question mark, beating teams like Baltimore and Atlanta, but losing to teams like Denver and the Jets. It's confusing. But I am going to predict that Brady has a field day against the Titans secondary, with the Pats winning by around 10 points. Buffalo at New York Jets The Jets are at home, and will be pissed after losing to Miami on Monday night. Their defense, especially, will be fired up. I did enjoy their defense scoring -1 fantasy points too. Meanwhile, the Bills are a pile of crap. They managed 3 points against the Browns last week? At home????? I'm gonna say Jets by at least three touchdowns. Chicago at Atlanta This should be a good one. Two NFC contenders going at it. I'm glad that my boys Roddy White and Michael Turner showed up in a big way last week. Both teams have a plethora of options on offense, but as I say every week, the Falcons have just a few more, and should win a fairly high-scoring affair. Denver at San Diego I've read a few articles that have suggested this is where the Broncos' undefeated run ends. But I'm not so sure. The Chargers haven't been doing much at all this season, while the Broncos seem to be really enjoying showing up the doubters each week. I think this is the game where they truly arrive on the national scene and prove beyond a doubt they are for real this season. Games against these two sides are generally very high-scoring, but I'm going to predict a Denver victory by 22-19. |
