The St. Louis Cardinals reportedly added a reinforcement to their wafer-thin rotation.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is reporting that the Cardinals have agreed to a one-year contract with free-agent right-hander Kyle Lohse.
Lohse will provide insurance for a rotation whose only gives are Adam Wainwright and Braden Looper.
Matt Clement just began throwing batting practice a few days ago, pitching coach Dave Duncan doesn't expect Joel Piñeiro to be ready from the beginning, and a rosy scenario for Mark Mulder would be May.
Lohse, 29, was 9-12 with a 4.62 ERA for the Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies last season. He made 34 starts and pitched 192 2/3 innings.
Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

I know not everyone here is a baseball fan, but Loshe was one of the better Free Agents left at this point in the Spring...
Good player. Not great, but was the best out there.
