One of the most influential people in pro football history. From his offenses to all the coaches he spawned.

Rest in peace Bill

R.I.P.

The innovator and creator of the West Coast offense. The best coach during the 1980's, one of the best of all time. We'll miss the man.

I saw this, too, about an hour ago but didn't think to post it.

RIP, Bill. You made a ton of people's lives better.

I had no idea that he was even close. It kind of comes as a big shock to me.

Either way he will always be one of the greatest minds football has ever seen, on any level.

I didn't think his leukemia was getting any worse since he was able to be very active around what Stanford's preparations were for their football team.

Very big loss for the Bay Area, and pretty much the entire NFL.

The guy is practically a legend at my house.

It showed a lot of respect by the Merc to put that huge feature in there today

 Wow

Not only was he a great coach, a genius in fact, he was a great guy who helped everyone. You never heard a bad thing about him, ever, and I am going to miss him.

Win this season for Walsh.

RIP
