Well hes gonna get the MVP as everyone expected (but no one seems to be able to give a valid reason), but get this... Its gonna be awarded to him at a News coference in Dallas! What a bitch! If i were him I would ask stern to give it to me at halftime of a warriors game at oracle and when stern gave it to me i would thank him but kindly return it stating that it means nothing to me in comparion to a ring.

I'm moving this to the sports forum, as it's not related to the Warriors in any way.
About the topic, I think he deserves it, as well as Nash and Duncan. It was between those three (probably Nash a bit more, tho). I have no problem with him winning the MVP. Keep in mind that it is the regular season MVP, so choking in the playoffs should have no impact in the award. Although I don't think Dirk will be happy about winning it after being eliminated in the first round. |

Everyone knew Steve Nash would get robbed. It's a shame, but everyone know it was coming.
As far as Dirk, he gets a consolation prize. 67 wins, only to get hammered out of the post-season in the first round? But knowing the choke artist, he probably values an MVP higher than a championship ring anyway.  GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD   |

Be great if Nash got 3 straight but Dirk had a great season as did his team so it isn't undeserving

Nash deserved it, but they're not going to give it to him three straight times unless he dominates beyond imagined.

Now that I think of it,, it's not that unusual. I mean, Tomlinson is also the MVP of the NFL... and he still hasn't won a single playoff game. |

Congratulations to Dirk Nowitzki. He had a deserving season but so did Steve Nash. Got to be the first time 3 straight MVPs have gone to white guys
