I can't agree with that. There are a lot of real soccer stars. More than in any other sport, obviously due to the fact that more people plays soccer than any other sport.

My only problem with soccer is the low scores. A sport based on scoring that may easily end with no-team scoring has serious flaws in its conception.

That's why I can't watch any of these games! Hockey, soccer, water polo... they're all the same, boring game to me.

I saw the boxscore to a hockey game the other day. In OVERTIME, the game ended 3-2. I couldn't sit down for 3 hours just to see something end 3-2.

In ANY other sport, going past the regular time limit usually means that it'll be a highscoring (and, thus, exciting) event. Not in the hockey-soccer-water polo combination.

Don't get butthurt, miggy, its just the truth.

Obviously an avid soccer fan #32

There are quite some rules to soccer and there are definately some stars, like Zidane, Figo and Beckham. They're just all gay

The only REAL soccer superstar was Pele. Other than that, there's... who? Mia Hamm?

Name a time Zidane was in the news without the term "headbutt" in it.

Whatcha think about the whole Kenny Rodgers controversary? To me...so what. If he wants to have pine tar on his hand just to get a better grip on the ball, let him. Having pine tar on your hand is not serious like steroids so I don't see why their should be any major action taken against it. If I was La Russa though, I would've made it a controversary during the game just to play with Rodger's mind so he could start throwing erratic balls and hittable pitches. Gotta take care of the given opportunities.

If you consider central and south America, Africa and Asia as surrounding countries, then yeah.

In my opinion, those who site "the complexity" of the game of baseball to show why it is harder to play are being either racist or ignorant

"but you have to move a couple inches every pitch!"

Right, and in basketball you move more every tenth of a second, you react to every minor detail and quicker. In baseball you can set up a portrait stand in the outfield and probably won't miss anything. Not saying baseball doesn't take skill, but basketball is by far the most difficult game to play, that's why the players are played the most money. The difference, however, is that in basketball you can have players with middle-school level skills like Paul Shirley, whereas in baseball you can't have any players with zero skills
